The area under alert is a two-mile radius around the intersection of Epcot Center Drive and Interstate 4. The rabies alert is in effect for 60 days, or until further notice.
According to the official statement, a feral cat caught near the area tested positive for rabies. The statement warns against contact with any animals found in the area, including feral cats, stray dogs, and wild mammals (like raccoons, squirrels, skunks, and coyotes).
