So apparently Watchmen is having a huge drop in attendance (probably now that all the hardcore fans have seen it) and Race To Witch Mountain is the likely #1 this weekend. I always imagine movies like that as "also-rans" that are intended to make as much, if not more, off of video sales. Anyone planning to see it?
I'd guess you're right about them being marketed to the "playing a DVD in the minivan on the road trip" audience. Not sure I'll check it out in the theater.
