Rapunzel to become the 10th Disney Princess

Oh yay..I like her..plus..I want to touch her hair.

I watched Tangled for the first time on Sunday. Loved it!

Clearly, they heard about our Survivor: Princesses Edition. And they liked the way we think.

It's SO fantastic.

I loved Tangled! Now how can I score an invite to that ceremony?

Im still trying to figure out how Pocahontas is a Princess....

Mase, I think it is because she was the daughter of an indian Chief, who I guess you can interpret to be the king of the tribe, which would make her a pricess. One of my relative generations back on my mothers side was concidered an indian princess & she was the daughter of a Chief.

I guess she is a Princess in the same what that Mary Poppins is a princess...she's not an official princess but she used to appear at a Princess breakfast at the GF.

Oh, you see them sometimes, although the others are more popular. My daughter has a Princess edition of Concentration, and they're all there - well, except Tiana. The game was made before she showed up. Plus, you'll see them featured with the other Princesses in displays of, say, the Barbie-type dolls at the Disney Store.

I know. It seems kind of a fine line between Princess and "other Disney girl we like to emulate" - like Alice, Elizabeth from POTC, Giselle, and Jessie from TS.

I heard a rumor once that Giselle cannot be consider a Disney princess because they would have to pay Amy Adams a percentage of everything she was on since they used her likeness. Isnt that crazy?? I dont know how much validity there is to that statement..I read it on a blog somewhere.

I guess too, because that film was kind of tongue in cheek...Disney making fun of itself. It is sooo good! I love, love the songs in it. Happy Working Song...and the actress who voiced Ariel is the receptionist and is revolted when Amy Adams gets water - and a fish - out of the fish tank, then spits the fish back into the glass.

Hmmm...I'm wondering how Nala would look in a fancy dress and tiara. And then, would we have to go back in the Disney archives, and include Maid Marion, too?

Jess and I were having this conversation and she said because Nala was an animal. So I said... well... technically Ariel was half fish? Tiana was a frog for a bit? Just sayin... lol
