I went to Goodwill to find some old china teacups for a Pinterest Easter decorating project I am working on ... and I also came across two amazing DISNEY Goodwill finds!

I picked up a 1st Edition hardcover book called "Since the World Began The First 25yrs" .. which was released for Walt Disney World's 25th anniversary. It appears as if no one even opened it, the pages are still crisp.. it also had an unused Haunted Mansion post card inside which is probably from the 1990's as well as unused All Star Resorts post cards. The only flaw I can find is if you hold the dustcover at the right angle in the right light... you can see some indentions from where someone must have placed a piece of paper on top of the dust cover and used it as something hard to write against. For the most part-it seems new. I priced new hardcover 1st editions online and they average around $40... I paid $10.

I also found two BRAND NEW Haunted Mansion Bat Bottle Stoppers! They still had their Disney Parks Price Tags on them and were in perfect condition. I had just saw them in The World when we were there in January and considered buying them but ended up not. I have no idea why these ended up at Goodwill unless someone brought them back as a gift and the recipients tossed them to Goodwill. They retail price on these are $19.95 Each - and I ended up getting both of them for $20. (sorry for the stock photo's - I am having trouble uploading my cell pics)

Now if I was a gambling girl, I might have waited till Saturday for the 50% off sale and got them even cheaper...but there was no way I was taking a chance they might be gone- so now they are home with me! biggrin

Way cute! I wonder if those kid sized gloves would fit me? Speaking of Christmas, does anyone out there have the Dept 56
retired Christmas village?

I like yours better Jeff!

The ones I saw had two antique stores fashioned after Liberty Square, the Firehouse, Tinks Store, Mickeys carols building
which looked like the castle and some accessories... it said they stopped making them.. without finishing the series due to
A management change....

This thread is absolutely brilliant. Love all the ideas to bring the magic home!

I've never wanted to display a Christmas village, until I saw the Disney one in the photo above! Maybe the new management will pick up production of a new Disney Christmas Village. ::crossing fingers::

I tell ya, Walgreens continues to have some of the best Disney merchandise around, and certainly more adult merchandise than the Disney Stores.

I found this a couple of days ago while browsing the seasonal aisle. It is a Mickey Head river rock stepping stone, and it retailed for $9.99.

I put a standard 1-foot ruler in the picture to indicate the scale. This thing also has a place on its back where you can attach it either to a nail or a hook, so you can hang it if you wish.

I like so much, I bought two! I plan to go to Lowe's this week and buy some masonary anchor so that I can mount both of them on either side of the garage entrance.

They have another Mickey stepping stone item at the Walgreens store, but I didn't like it as much as this one.

I love those too, Zapper! We bought several last year and placed them around the yard as our own "hidden Mickeys" Smile
We love it when friends come over and find/see them!

That's a great idea.

However, I think these might be too easy to find. Most of my friends are Disney Fanatics, and they find Hidden Mickeys even when they aren't there. Case in point, look at the bed spread in this link:

http://ebm.realsimple.mag.chtah.net/c/tag/hBVOlp3B876ocB9A8uyNuIyltA3/doc.html?t_params=

I have friends who swear that there are Hidden Mickeys there! Smile

I may have to do something more challenging around my yard.

Another find from Walgreens. I saw something like this maybe last year, but they didn't feel compelled to get one. But the other day, we saw the "Donald" version of this solar flowering pot. So we ended up getting the Mickey and the Donald. There is also a Minnie, but we didn't get that.

So far, I've cleaned out 2 different Walgreens of their Mickey head stepping stone. I bought a total of 4, 2 for us, and 2 for a couple of friends. Went to 2 other Walgreens and they had none. I want to find 2 more to put in my backyard.

I wish I knew this earlier today. I would have stopped at Sears while I was at the mall. They look cute!

I mounted the Mickey head stepping stones on both sides of my garage door. They look very nice especially at night when I have solar spotlights on each one of them. Here's a picture of one of them, right above the DVC sign I got from last year's DVC members cruise.
