Apparently most of the food trays are brown, but a very few are different colors. At Studios Catering Co., if you happen to get a tray that isn't brown, the CMs launch into a little song (couldn't make out most of the words) and offer you a free cupcake, your choice of whatever flavors they have at the moment. Robyn lucked into a red tray, and we heard them sing the song once more before we were done eating.

Shut the front door!!!! OMG I am so going to stalk for a non-brown tray!!

rolling I was totally thinking the same thing, Jeff! I wonder how many trays are between each free cupcake tray...

Yes that was the night we had burgers but forgot take pics... I was a bit surprised by the chicken burger being minced, I expected a chicken breast... But saying that I really enjoyed it. Sadly I didn't make the most of my lunch as I took ill right after the bread service Sad I had butter chicken and chicken vindaloo, Mark had the short ribs and butter chicken, he loved them both. I'm sad I didn't even get to try my vindaloo Sad I ate 2 mouthfuls of butter chicken. The meal I was most looking forward to as well!!

That was sad, knowing how much you wanted to enjoy Sanaa and then couldn't. And no way to reheat since we were staying at a value resort. sad

Right, Saturday was burger night at All-Star Sports. The beef burger was quite good, especially with the topping options - not a topping bar, but they built each burger to order. We both got bacon, and I had fried onions as well, the put my usual mayo and mustard on at the condiments bar. Robyn got fries on the side and I tried the cucumber salad. I'd had a wonderful cucumber salad at Wilderness Lodge and hoped for the same here, but this one was different, more Italian flavored, which I didn't like as much.

FOOD from Sunday, March 1.

We stopped at DHS's Starring Rolls for breakfast. Robyn got a croissant (if I remember correctly) and I got, um, I think it was an apple turnover. It was definitely apple and definitely good! No photos of those two. Then Robyn decided to take advantage of the proximity to get a Napoleon, which looked very tasty indeed. Robyn got a photo of it, see below.

After DHS we took the boat to Epcot and got lunch at the Chinese counter-service restaurant (whatever it's called). I got orange chicken and Robyn went with sweet and sour. They look almost identical in the photos below, but the S&S was a bit more brightly colored than the orange chicken. We shared; Robyn liked the orange chicken better and I thought the sweet and sour was just a touch better. Good thing we shared!

Mid-afternoon Robyn got soft-serve ice cream and took the lovely selfie posted below.

In the evening we park-hopped to MK and ate dinner curbside while waiting for the Main Street Electrical Parade. Robyn got a baked potato from that place in Liberty Square while I got a tuna sandwich over at Columbia Harbor House. I'd never had it before, but it was the easiest thing to carry back to our parade-viewing spot while also juggling beverages (sandwich in to-go box under one arm). Robyn told me Simon loves that tuna sandwich, and I have to agree that it was excellent. I have no photos, since it was a bit dark to take them.

Allie, that's because we didn't take daily notes and couldn't put together a day-by-day summary worth reading.

Anyway, on to Monday, March 2, which was TEA DAY!

Robyn's photos of tea. She got all chicken sandwiches and the usual fruit/cheese plate along with the strawberries and cream for dessert.

My photos of tea. I got extra fruit instead of cheese along with all chicken sandwiches (only one without cheese) and the assorted pastries for dessert.

Finally, a cup of mango oolong tea and the photos we took of each other.

I got mango oolong because Robyn always raves about it, and it is quite tasty, although next time I think I'd try something different.

Tea is lots of fun! If you haven't done it, I highly recommend it (even if you're a dude). We had extra fun because Robyn pointed out all the things the GF got wrong (fruit with the sandwiches, jam tart with the scones, I'm sure there was more).

That same evening we had planned on going to MK. Robyn popped in while I went to Wilderness Lodge to retrieve the winter coat I'd left behind a month earlier. While I was in transit, Robyn texted to tell me MK was mobbed and suggested we visit Top of the World Lounge instead, which we did. Robyn got a virgin cocktail (the fruity pink drink, strawberry something) and I got red sangria, see the photo below. We also got soft pretzels with two dips, but didn't take a photo. This is Robyn's photo.

Those pretzels in TOTWL were awesome! I'll definitely get them again. The drink I had was a strawberry daiquiri (Virgin cause I'm an alcohol wimp). I totally think we made the right choice to pass on mk and head there instead Smile

You forgot to mention, we got given a rose each at the end of the tea, it was so cute! I love the pics of us both at the tea. Although they get a fair few things wrong, it's still pretty damn good Laughing out loud

Grrr my pic keeps going upside down.... Click on it and it turns up the right way

I forgot the samosas we got at Animal Kingdom a few hours before tea (mainly because we forgot to take a photo). They were as good as ever. This is a photo from my trip last September.

On to lunch for Tuesday, March 3.

I stopped at Casey's for corn dog nuggets (corn puppies) because I've got to get them every trip. Robyn continued to Sleepy Hollow for a chicken waffle. I carried my corn puppies over to Sleepy Hollow and we both ate there.

And that's all I remember of Tuesday's food. I know we had to eat something else later in the day, but I've got no photos. Robyn, help?

Ooooh I think we are at pecos bills that night, in the loudest room ever where I told off a small child for hitting another child with no parent supervision hahaha (only to then see grandpa was sitting at the next table and he was not super impressed with me, well hello the boy had already hit his sister 3 times! And was going for the fourth! And they were big swing the arm as far back as you can before hitting)

Yep my first reaction was "oh no don't tell me they've stopped serving it with the cole slaw?" laugh Then it occurred to me that you probably just don't care for cole slaw.

The corn puppies look tasty. I've never tried those before. What's the dip on the left? Is it relish or some sort of peppers?

Yes! Had to be Pecos Bill's that night. So I got the burger and fries; what did you get?

Just relish. First I dip in the mustard, then the relish.

Thanks! I wore it with cat ears as my MNSSHP "costume" last year, but I've had it a long time.

I'm LOVING the food report! Please tell me about the assorted pastries at tea. One looks like a white chocolate covered strawberry dipped in some sort of pink dot thingies (what are they?). I can't tell what the other two things are, but they look delicious.

The strawberry was dipped in some kind of yogurt topping that hardened, maybe it had white chocolate in it? I don't know what the pink dots were. The chocolate thing was a mini eclair. The swan was made of puff pastry with something like strawberry mousse inside. And everything was delicious.

Wednesday's lunch was Be Our Guest, where we both got the turkey sandwich. Very good! But it was hard to find a table and our food took its time getting to us. Still, it was a very nice lunch.

And dinner Wednesday evening at Les Chefs de France.

Robyn's friends Carrie and Mark joined us again this evening. We arrived early for our reservation and had to wait a bit, but did get in earlier than the ADR time. Below, a shot of the dining room from outside the windows, and photos by Robyn of her friends and by Carrie of Robyn and me.

I had woken up this morning with a bit of a head cold and was being very careful not to touch anything anyone else might also have to touch (except for the server and busboy, nothing I could do to avoid that).

Robyn and Carrie both got the macaroni and cheese entree, and Carrie also got the French onion soup. (Robyn's photos.)

Mark had the roasted chicken with potatoes. (My photo.)

I got the braised short ribs with polenta and carrots in a Cabernet sauce. The ribs and sauce were magnificent, the carrots good, and the polenta would've been good but it seemed there was a layer of cheese all over the top. I took a few small bites off the edges, but as soon as I hit cheese I was done. Fortunately I didn't miss having the polenta because the portions were HUGE and I couldn't even finish the delicious beef and carrots.

And we finish up with Robyn's photo of Carrie.
