Sake Bar Japan - EPCOT

I posted on another thread about this place in Japan. But I wanted to start a thread for it all by itself. How many of you (drinkers) have found the Sake Bar in Japan? They don't really showcase it or anything by any means. It's actually in the Japan shop under Teppan Edo restaurant.

It's tucked in the back where if you don't go back there. You may never find it. You can try all different kinds of Sake on flights. It can get a little pricey if you stand there too long. But it's always a good stop for us when we are there waiting for dinner or Illuminations.

Here are a few shots of it, if you have never seen it or don't know where it is.

We stopped there once. I don't remember everything we tried - it was nearly eight years ago - but I do recall we were very impressed by the sake called Wakatake. Next visit we took the Auto Train down and thought we'd buy a bottle, but the Wakatake comes in a HUGE bottle and is not exactly economical. So we passed. But you've reminded me, next time we go we should stop by and get a glass.

Oh yeah....We always make a point to head through here a few times per trip to grab a few flights. Met some very nice people there our last Thanksgiving trip and we all watched Illuminations together and a had a great evening. We went home with a few bottles of Sake as well.

You are very welcome. It's nothing huge but it's a fun little stop to just relax, take few drinks of great Sake and meet people for a few minutes. You never know who you will meet there. Plus, not a lot of people venture back there to take part for whatever reason. So it's hardly ever crowded. Even during peak times that we have seen.
