Sanaa lunch and dinner menus

I've got the pdfs of both lunch and dinner for Sanaa. I must say I'm disappointed at first glance. Short ribs, burgers, New York strip, a pork chop!? Didn't anyone consider that India is largely Hindu and Muslim? Anyway, you can see them here.

That is rather disappointing. It sounds like every other WDW restaurant.

Humm... are we looking at the same thing?

Maybe the menu items are quite varied to cater for a range of tastes, but the few entree items that were listed in pictures that I have seen have been quite delectable. And anyone who has read my posting on food on here will know that I have quite a discriminating palate.

The pictures of some of the entree have been shown on Stitch Kingdom

And they look quite promising. We will be dining at Sanaa on June 27. I suppose I will have a lot more to say about it afterwards.

I was very encouraged by the pictures as well, but maybe I just got unrealistic expectations in my head based on them. I suppose I have a history of getting worked up about Disney "ethnic" restaurants, when they always have to have at least 1/2 of their menu be the usual stuff so picky eaters have something to eat.

There's pretty much going to be chicken, a steak and like 3 other entres on every Disney menu. You can't get too greedy Brad.

Sheesh I can't even have unrealistic enthusiasm for a few days!?!? I mean seriously if WDW had good Asian food and a little more variety I would have to move there, so forgive me if I was getting all excited at the idea of a good Indian spot. (Yes I admit in retrospect I was being unrealistic!) silly

I still think the menu will have plenty for folks who enjoy exploring different tastes. Disney has to stick to a certain "bland-ness" because of its audience, but I think they've done an admirable job to this point trying to mix in a little flavor.

I'm usually a "to each their own" kind of person, but it shocks me how boring everything has to be food-wise at Disney World. Can't the bloody kids at least TRY something new. You can get McDonalds at home!
