We arrive the evening of the 24th Dinner at Sanaa at 6:50. Then we will be heading to one of the monorail resorts to park and take a ride while bar hopping. biggrin If you are out and about, let me know.

Jmed, we hope not to do Universal Friday because the parks close at 6:00 pm (WTF is up with that?). We're doing Sanaa at some point, or would be up for a little bar hopping. We can figure things out a little closer to the date.

They are probably closed to a special event.

Hey CCP, depending on when your dinner is at Kona on the 19th, we should be able to meet up with you and hubby at the Poly for a drink before we head to MK for a few hours. biggrin

Jan, dinner is at 7:50 after which we plan on going to Top of the World. Want to join us there? Or if that's too late, perhaps a drink at the Poly before our ADR?

If we could meet before your ADR, that would fit perfectly with our evening FP's at MK. I'll PM you my cell number closer to the date and you can text us when you are on your way. Yay, another WDWFG meet up!! clapping

Thanks! I got sick of just having our names on those things. I'll do it again next time we're doing major parks.

We flew out of Harrisburg via Frontier on Foxy the fox's plane. Got a great view of Three Mile Island from the terminal. And now I'm gazing at the Magical Express counter while hubby gets the rental car.

Met up with wistfulgirl and her lovely family at Earl of Sandwich.

Oops, hubby has pointed out that while he and I ate at EoS, we met wistfulgirl at Wolfgang Puck Express.

Sorry, admins, I screwed up trying to post on a moving bus and accidentally reported my own post. Nothing to report. All is well.

JanJ and KenJ along with some delightful beverages from the patio outside Trader Sam's. Hubby got a rum flight, I got pineapple wine, and the J's got tropical fruity things the names of which I have already forgotten. Lucky for us the rain had stopped.

Dinner at Kona Cafe. Pineapple bread, sweet potato and chorizo soup, pot stickers, lamb, and tuna with ginger rice and tempura veggies. The best thing about the tuna was the veggies, wish there had been more. Everything was excellent.

Looks like great fun so far! How was Frontier out of Harrisburg? Uneventful?

There's one flight to Harrisburg from Orlando and one the other way both today and when we go home next week. Northbound leaves around 7:30 am, then the same plane is supposed to return to Orlando around 10:30 am. Thunderstorms delayed the northbound flight a bit, so ours was also delayed, but not too much; we arrived maybe 20 minutes late.

Beyond that, I prefer Southwest. Frontier has no complimentary soft drinks or snacks, does have baggage fees, and the seats are a little less roomy, not that leg room is an issue for me. I'd fly Frontier again, but only if it cost less than Southwest once all the fees and such are added to the ticket price.

That was kind of my take, too. We flew Frontier out of Dulles last summer and it was miserable because of all of the delays. I was hoping that your experience out of Harrisburg had been better. Even with the seat fees and bag fees, there are definitely scenarios where you can save quite a bit with Frontier over SW, but they definitely did not built a high level of trust with us on our first flight!

Spectacular it is. At least yesterday, when we got good food, met great people, and soaked in the Disney ambience.

Today we have the best chance of rain all week. On top of that, I brought a couple of urgent work tasks with me so I'm actually going to spend most of this day as if I weren't on vacation. But we do have lunch at Sanaa to look forward to for lunch today; I booked it last night after checking the weather.

A few photos of our room at Saratoga Springs. We unfortunately did not get our requested Congress Park room for easy access to DTD. We're in the Paddock section instead, which means a longer walk but still within decent walking distance.

Lunch at Sanaa! Bread service, of course. Hubby got the squash soup and the kefta burger while I got some of the stewed stuff. I didn't want all meat, so I combined the butter chicken (which Robyn raves about) from the stewed meat selections with the chickpea wat from the vegetarian version. Both were delicious. Then we ordered extra bread to carry out to go with what was left of all the bread toppings.

I finished the first of two projects a little before 10 pm and we headed over to DTD for a snack and drink. (I deserved a drink!) we were going to try one of the food trucks, but there was only one and it was closed, so meandered over to Raglan Road. I got Irish hard cider, which was awesome. Hubby got an Irish iced coffee, also awesome. And we shared delicious mussels and the scallop forest while listening to the band play Irish music. Good night. I have no photos of the food because the bar is so dimly lit, but here's a photo of the band.
