Hey Shelley! Glad to see you got through the sales rush. Was it as light as reported? Or were there lots of people looking but no one buying? Or were reports of the "slowness" overstated?

I live in a smaller town approx 30 miles south of downtown Dallas. Our business was good here, but the people here love having a dept store here in town and not having to travel into Dallas so I think that helped us. Business was slower than I've ever seen in retail especially during holiday season

We do, as well as a JCPenny's

Wal-Mart seems poised to become even more of a juggernaut with the economy as it is. I wonder if that's more or less true in smaller towns? I can see smaller communities being more inclined to want to keep their alternatives open, but it's always hard to justify spending extra on that.
