Seen Any Good Movies Lately?

In Bella's Oscar Thread, I just mentioned that we recently watched Midnight in Paris and LOVED it. Have you seen any good movies lately? We've been having a hard time finding things that are entertaining.

We went and saw Waderlust yesterday with Jennifer Anniston.. OMG It was HILLAROUS!!! Had a lot of language and some nudity, so if that kind of thing bothers you I wouldn't go see it.. but it was oh so funny!

Saw both The Vow and This Means War this weekend, loved them both! DH says we now need to go see an action/war movie to get his man card back!

We saw The Secret World of Arrietty. I enjoyed it a lot. Its a slow movie, and not much to the story which kinda made me sad, because if you have seen any of Miyazaki's... they are always HEAVY story driven with a subplot for our actual lives... but this one was just a straight forward movie. But I highly enjoyed it... but hate saying it... its a renter.

We were going to go see Lorax on Friday but we ended up renting Hugo instead and watching that at home.

Hugo turned out to be a really great movie. We highly recommend it.

We saw The Lorax and loved it! We just watched Thor for the first time and I really enjoyed it. We decided to watch Iron Man 2 next and I thought that was fun also. Can you tell I'm ready for The Avengers?

Yeah.... its a shame. I know before the stats Disney stated no matter the outcome... they were behind it 100%. So hopefully DVD and Bluray sales will help it. Also helps that The Avengers and a couple other movies could help make up for the loss.

Looking forward to the new "Dark Shadows" movie staring Johnny Depp as Barnabus Collins. Used to love that show as a kid. Also, can't wait to see "BRAVE". The trailer is beyond awesome!

From what I understand it was actually well done, Disney just blundered the marketing. It's too bad; it sounds like an interesting premise. Having said that, I haven't seen it, and really don't plan to Smile

I am with others here - can't WAIT for Brave! (Did I say that already?) and I'm intrigued by Dark Shadows.

Melissa - have you seen Captain America? We thought it was pretty good. We really liked Thor and we ADORE Iron Man.

I was looking forward to this, and then I saw the preview. Puzzled Now I'm not sure what I think, it looks really really campy.

Geordon really wants to see the Hunger Games, but we haven't gotten there yet.

We did watch a REALLY BAD movie the other day, it was the latest Three Musketeers movie with Orlando Bloom and Milla Joviavich (I'm sure I've butchered her name). Anyhow, it was Three Musketeers goes steampunk with a campy air and lots of action. It was so bad I couldn't look away, I just kept shaking my head and trying to figure out what the director was thinking.

Yes! I love Captain America! We just watched Thor the other weekend {did I mention that already?} and I really liked that too. The next day we watched Iron Man 2 and I LOVED it! My husband had seen it before but I hadn't. I'm just even more excited for The Avengers now!

I watched The Adventures of Tintin last night. Really enjoyed it! I had to remind myself that it was animated. I was a little surprised at some of the adult themes, the drinking and the shooting and killing. I recommend it if you haven't seen it

My husband and I actually saw Tintin by ourselves in the theater, haha! I thought it was fantastic but definitely for older children!
