I didn't see Mickey's Toontown until last trip -- I'd gone to the parks half a dozen times since it's creation.

I have no shameful Disney secrets. I'm a model Disney citizen.

But...a...uhm...friend of mine has never seen the Nemo musical.

On our first trip to MK, circa 1978, my mother turned to her friend, about 2/3 of the way through the Hall of Presidents animatronic show, and said, "Why, they aren't real!" True story. And she's a very smart woman. (Well, I knew they weren't real and I was 7. I guess we'll just say she believes in magic even more than me.)

True confession? Here goes: I've never seen Illuminations. Or Fanstasmic. I hate that whole "giant rushing crowd streaming toward the trams all at once" thing. But I'm gonna have to suck it up get those crossed off soon.

That's a great story!

And you need to see those shows! Even if it's just once. You can always hold back from the rush afterward and go last -- that way you don't get crammed into a bus or anything.

I don't know if it's a "Shameful secret" so much - but I HATE HATE HATE "Dinosaur." After the last time I went on it and my knees got bruised I refuse to ever go on that thing again.

I'm also now somewhat afraid of Mission:Space, but only because I found out just how claustrophobic I am when we got stuck inside the closed capsule for ten minutes while there was a malfunction!

I promise to see Illuminations before the year is out, and I'll put Fantasmic on the list for 2011 Smile

Re: Hall of Presidents - my 5 yo was NOT impressed. Dragged her to see it last year after they added Pres. Obama, thinking I was being super fabulous good teacher-mommy. She complained the entire time, rather loudly I might add, about how boring it was.

We really planned on doing it after reading about the updates recently, but every time we get there, we jut can't seem to get ourselves through the door. So many other things to draw our attention away!

Jeff - Plan it for a hot weather visit. SpaceAce is right...it is so comfy and cool in there...I think I did close my eyes the last time we were there. And the film is pretty neat in a history-class-kinda way. And the gathering of all the presidents in one place - also neat. (Wow, my comments are thoroughly unoriginal today, and, you know, NEAT. Smile Forgive me.)

That was my reaction, too, but mostly because I don't like things jumping out at me -- doesn't matter if it's a dinosaur or not laugh Poor us sad

What a coincidence....a friend of mine has never seen this either and really has no desire to see it......OF COURSE it's not me, though! This same friend has also never rode the train at WDW!

That is AWESOME laugh

It scared the beejesus outta me the first time too, but that's why I loved it, 'cause it's trully SCARY.

Well, having only been there twice, I don't feel that ashamed...But I've never been/ridden:

-American Adventure
-Muppets show 3D
-Peter Pan's flight (the line is just awfully long...)
-DUMBO (seriously. I always make a mental note to ride it, but I feel too silly and the lines don't help...)

Oh, and I HATED that Hollywood Studios "Party Bash whatever" parade...there're like 3 floats and they take FOREVER...

I really enjoy the Hall of Presidents (AND The American Adventure). But no one ever wants to go on it with me lol. I love how all the presidents are standing there.. and while one is talking, the others are nodding, or murmuring to each other, agreeing or disagreeing. The attention to every detail is amazing.

Hmmm.. what would MY secret be..
oh.. I dont like fireworks. Like.. ANY fireworks shows. but my companions ALWAYS want to see them! I mean, it's a nice rest and all but I'd rather be doing something else. Ho Hum.. fireworks all look the same to me.

At least Illuminations has regular fire.

I totally agree, DD...well, about the HoP, anyway Smile

UPDATE - in case you didn't see it - I HAVE DONE ILLUMINATIONS! I really liked it. Very moving. And the nite that I went was chilly, so the fire and even the torches gave off a welcome heat.

Still need to do Fantasmic. From what you've all taught me, I guess a dinner package is the way to go for that one.

Wow, that's so funny. I listen often to the WDWtoday podcast and they constantly diss that Fantasmic package...saying that the seats are the worst (which I agree), you still have to arrive 30 minutes prior and that, overall, it's just not a very good value...

But you guys seem to like it.

I have never seen Muppet Vision 3-d...and I really don't want to. I just wasn't into it when I was younger. I mean asking me to go to this attraction is like asking me to watch High School Musical...I'm good on that, but thank you anyway.

Im with you to a certain extent on this one. Where we live we have Red, White, and Boom... and im not claiming this, but I guess its one of the best Fireworks for the 4th of July in the whole USA. Dont know if its true... not making the claim, but I enjoy them a lot. So to me... I havent seen anything that can live up to it. The one time I did enjoy watching the fireworks at Disney was an extended hours at the MK. We were close to Small World and it seemed like they were right above us. I enjoyed it... but like I said... just doesnt live up to what I see here on the 4th.

So im with ya in a way DD... lol

I can see their point too. It probably depends on the day. It's also probably for those of us who like a "guarantee." I bet lots of people have never considered it and never had any trouble. I just figure if I've slotted that day to see Fantastmic I want to make sure I see it. If I don't have that package I'll probably line up really early just to make sure.

OMG, I can't believe you guys!! After the thrill rides, my favorite thing are the Disney Fireworks!!! Specially for the music, it's just so well syncronized and plain magical!! Illuminations is like reaching Nirvana for me! And I always, ALWAYS cry at any of them...

I guess people are just different (some of them, REALLY different laugh).
