Soarin Away

WOW, a 6 month refurb? I honestly didn't think it would be down that long but I hope they are also going to give some love to the existing theaters... What ever will we all do in Epcot now? Wait 3 hours for Test Track? wink

I am pretty excited about the new film and can't wait to see it. I guess that will be During the big meet up in October!

I'm guessing that they will have to update the queue to include the new theater.

I didn't think about that part of it.... I'm excited about the change, there has been so much talk of it for so long it seems.

That makes loads more sense, Mandy! I was thinking along the same lines as JMed--pop the new movie in the DVD player, reprogram the hang glider contraption and open 'er up! laugh

I hope they take the time to clean the place while they're at it. If you've ever looked up while in the queue you'll see a thick layer of dust/dirt on everything that looks like it's been there for years.

Looking forward to the new movie though. HD will be really good to see.

I think the queue could definitely use a change. I mean, the new queue of Soarin' at California Adventure looks much nicer and fits in more with the theme of flight. Soarin' current queue is nothing to really brag about.

Agreed. With all the awesome queues they now have the Soarin one is incredibly boring. With such a long wait in both FP and stand by, they need to give the guests a little something to look at besides their cell phones (which work TERRRIBLY in that line).

When we were there last time we prepared ourselves for it being the last time we'd see that movie. I'm excited for the new one!

I thought the exact same thing. Growing up we heard about the high standards of Disney but the las three years we keep seeing neglect all over the parks. Just basic daily/weekly maintenance that isn't happening.
