Some of the Omg things I've heard/read today about Toy Story Land opening

Toy Story Land hit capacity early; guests had to wait in a holding area for the chance to get inside.

Guests began lining up at the park's main entrance as early as 4:30 am - and I thought I had read somewhere that they opened the HS parking lot around 2 am.

The park opened at 6 am - 2 hours earlier than announced.

By 9am, guests were being told of a 3 to 4 hour wait to enter Toy Story Land, and then 300 minutes for Slinky Dog Dash once they got inside.

And what's even worse....it's a rainy day in Florida and last I checked Slinky Dog was temporarily closed eek

I've been checking wait times periodically today. Alien Space Saucer has a longer wait than Slinky Dog right now.

I saw a pic of a CM holding an "end of the line" sign for Slinky Dog, she was standing in front of the Chinese Theatre... think about that one for a minute...

Wait time was 350 min at one point when I looked.... 350 minutes... right at 6 hours... thank goodness I have a fastpass

The Aliens ride doesn't look like it has a huge rider capacity, I don't doubt that it will constantly be a long wait

The pics I have seen of the land so far looks very narrow. It is going to be wall to wall body to body if it's as narrow as it seems in photos

My friends were there today, Toy Story Mania was only 30 min around lunchtime, she said they rode it 2x in a row

I really hate those a-holes that buy that stuff and jack it up on ebay

I'm with you on the eBay thing...Just wow.

I think I'm going to try and score any FPs I can get once the AP summer block out ends, starting Aug 10, and if I can get one we will make a trip over for a day or 2. Or 3 laugh

I hear it's really cool looking at night.

We have Slinky Dog 2x during our end of the month trip, we will get in, ride and get out LOL Hopefully by the time our January trip rolls around it will have died down a tad!

First thing this morning the wait time was 265 minutes for slinky dog. I wouldn't wait in line for 265 minutes for free money.

We were at WDW last year when Panadora opened and had River Na'vi fast passes for the second day. They wouldn't even let anybody enter Pandora until magic band was scanned to verify a fast pass!

That is *so* nuts!!! I was feeling jealous that the DFB crew was there and I wasn't but honestly, maybe I'm OK with that.
I can not imagine spending 6 hours in queue in the summer heat and humidity. Even when I was young and healthy that would have been rough. You need to stay hydrated - and then what if you have to pee!?!?

This may be a total disaster but we're going to give it a shot!

Ok yes, from what I hear day 1 and 2 were crazy. We visited on day 3 and didn't think it was nearly as bad as we expected to be with all of the scary news reports from the first two days. We got there at 6am for a 7am opening and only had 5 people in front of us at the turnstiles. They let us back to Toy Story Land at 6:45ish and there were the idiots that were shoving and trying to run up around the side, but once we got back into the Slinky Dog queue we were on in less then 5 minutes. We rode it, then rode Alien Swirling Saucers with about a 15 minute wait, and then were going to ride TSMM but it was down for technical issues which was fine because we had an 8am FastPass. We went over and rode Tower of Terror with absolutely no wait (our elevator was only half full), killed time, and then went back for our TSMM FastPass. We also came back later around 10:45am to try out the Totchos which we did via the Mobile Order. Never once was their a wait to get into the land.

On July 7th, the last day of our trip, it was even better. They had 7am EMH but we didn't feel like getting up that early so we rolled into the park around 8:45am. TSMM was at only a 15 min wait (we rode it standby before using our FastPass later), Alien Saucers was at a 20 min, and Slinky Dog Dash at a 60 min. Even Seven Dwarfs and Navi River still have average waits higher then that. We got the S'mores French Toast this morning, too (again with Mobile Order).

So don't get too discouraged or turned off is all I'm saying. Just plan well and go to the DHS on the right days Smile

Yay! I'm happy to hear this. Looking at the estimated wait times during our trip it's not going to be all that bad. I think it had two hours for slinky dog dash, but that is with us arriving in the middle of the day.
