Speaking hypothetically..

So let's pretend that someone booked a trip under Free Dining. No that promotion has to be booked by December. What if, in say March, you find out that you need to push your trip back on day. Now, that day will still be part of the original Free Dining dates by the "book by" date has already passed..would you be able to push it back & still get Free Dining? Or would they cancel & re-book your trip without the Free Dining?

I would think so. It's not as if you are totally changing your trip.

My other thought is it really depends on the person you talk to. If you call and they say no, call back and talk to someone else. My theory is eventually you will find someone who will work with you.

Of course, that's just my opinion. I know if I worked there and you called, I'd make it work! biggrin

Why not book the extra day now, then cancel it if you need to? Is that a possibility? Hypothetically?

Not really..well..hopefully..you see..we leave the day after school gets out. Now we have snow days built into the school year in March & May..if for some reason we have more than two they may tack on an extra day to the school year..BUT..I mean..the last time it snowed in my town when school was shut down for more than two days..1992.

So, you know.

That's a tough one! I think I'd book the extra day and find out how far in advance you can cancel it without paying a fee. Or book a night or two room-only, then tie them to your package that starts on the day you KNOW you'll be able to be there. You can always cancel room only bookings 5 days in advance.

Ugh. And school districts can get crazy about letting you take off those last two days of school!

They get crazy enough to say "not a chance". Dave's little sister graduated high school in 2007 and it was the day of his last day with students..and his principal wouldn't let him off.
