We have decided that we will be Spending Thanksgiving in Disney this year Nov 22-30, We are going to try to get Grand Floridian Villa the first 4 days then either Beach club or Boardwalk for the last 4 days ..now to wait till the 7th month
Good luck But may I ask why don't you book at your home resort at 11 moths out and then try to change it, at least you are guaranteed a place if the 7 mo. choice does not pan out.
I agree with Vettelover. I would book at your home resort now. The Villas at the Grand Floridian are already very very limited for that week. I am not sure of the type of villa you are looking for but there is only one open at the moment. We did not get our first choice of room type for the following week and we booked 2 months ago.
Smart move.
Yay! I've spent 4 Thanksgivings at Disney and it is a wonderful time of year!!!!
How fun! I've always wanted to be in WDW for Thanksgiving - it's my favorite HOliday.
Most TS restaurants will offer a thanksgiving meal on thanksgiving. Some QS will also offer a thanksgiving meal as well. They will have the regular menu as well. Coral Reef was a great restaurant for it. I ate at '50s Prime Time Cafe this past thanksgiving but I ordered off of the regular menu since I had two thanksgiving meals at work that day.
Hello Everyone - it's been awhile since I have been on the site. Getting withdrawals. We are going to be staying at OKW this year for Thanksgiving. The last time we were at WDW for Thanksgiving, we ate at Olivia's at OKW - that is our home resort. We are looking for other ideas. Liberty Tavern seems to be a popular place. Any other suggestions that you have eaten at? Thank you.
Scott
It just depends on what you would want to eat. I like to try and keep it semi traditional. I've eaten at '50s Prime Time Cafe and Coral Reef Restaurant on Thanksgiving. Both have offered a traditional thanksgiving meal along with their full menu. Select restaurants will offer a thanksgiving day meal.
That is so exciting, RobNLyn!
We are (fingers crossed) planning a vacation during Thanksgiving, too! We are going to try to squeeze the new Diagon Alley in the mix, but I def want to be IN DISNEY for Turkey Day and beyond!
Thanks for the tips about TS dining, Mandy!
For those of you who have been: is it CRAZY crowded in the parks on Turkey Day? I was wondering if it might be better to visit resorts to see the Christmas lights on the actual day and eat at a nice resort rather than going into the parks that day.
What are y'all planning to do, RobNLyn??
What does everybody else think?
