Sprit Jerseys

So - what is your opinion on these "spirit jerseys" that Disney has been pushing the past year? I swear I think they are the ugliest thing ever. The cut of the cloth is not flattering on anyone. I don't get the obsession. Can any of you explain to me why these have to be a thing?

Now, I do think that the newer ones with patterns and designs are a little cuter than the plain ones. However the way the arms are cut is still not flattering. At all. Why oh why do these need to be a thing? sarcastic

I find my rose gold one quite comfy! And I wouldn't be surprised if the haunted mansion and Canada versions follow me home next week laugh

Haha - Joe keeps telling me I need to work on my filters....clearly I have more work to do laugh

My biggest peeve with them is the ginormous lettering on the back. I just don't like it and find it uncomfortable because the letters are usually stiffer and are noticeably felt across my back and shoulders. The Tiki Room one seems especially large across the back with "Disneyland".

If you get the Canada one thought you have to post a pic of it. Along with all the other fun stuff that just happens to follow you home. Which is another area Joe tells me I need to work on. He has a list..... eek

I don't find the lettering bugs me. I also bought a smaller size so it's not as baggy as the "style" is.

So, basically, now I have to get the Canada one! I'll tell Erik I don't want to disappoint JeffC laugh

Is this the millennial pink or rose gold one you folks have? I'm still not a fan of the oversized letters but that's purely a personal taste thing. This olive green one though....I could see myself in this.

I have the top one. I did not know it was rose gold. It looks more like peach to me. I will be honest. I loved it in the store, but do not care for the way it fits. In fact I have had it since January and have not worn it.

Here is the thing about the spirit jerseys... About a year or so before they started popping up at Disney, we had them here at a store called Palmetto Moon. Of course they said Charleston across the back and every teeny tiny girls with long blond hair was wearing them EVERY SINGLE DAY. I was tired of them way before they were the "it" thing down there. The first one I saw I thought "here we go". o=Works for some, just not for me.

I don't like the lettering on the back either.

I'm obsessed. I think they're so comfy and, like Spook, I size down so that they aren't TOO baggy. I normally wear a small or medium and I get an extra small in these. I have 5 and am on the lookout for the Haunted Mansion one. No shame. laugh

I'm glad to hear that they are comfy. I looked at them in person last week and they seem more attractive in person vs. pictures. I just can't get over the horizontal seam and the dolman sleeves. Maybe it's just because I'm so busty. I can totally see all the teeny tiny girls with long blond hair wearing them.

I thought they were ugh but fell in love with the Haunted Mansion and Tiki Room one when I saw them. Luckily because they are so big I could get the smaller size as the large sizes were sold out. Interestingly found them in Star Traders which is where they all are and second World of Disney doesn't sell the HM one you have to go to other places. If you see a woman named Ida in World of Disney don't ask her anything as she didn't have a clue

That's what I said about the color!

I'm guilty of buying two lol. I thought the first few to come out were so ugly but I fell in love with the Disney World Christmas one and the purple potion one. I also bought the smallest size to fit me so they aren't too baggy. I really needed some more long sleeve shirts for the random winter days we get in Florida.
