Considering how our topic, "What Do Others Rave About That You just Don't Get?" is one of our interesting and more popular topics, I think it's time to ask the opposite. So what are the attractions a good solid portion of Disney fans don't like but for you for whatever reason, you have a soft spot for that or you thoroughly enjoy. This is the time for all you good people to confess your guilty pleasures about WDW.
For me, I know a good portion loathe Tomorrowland Indy Speedway but it's still a favorite of mine. I think it's because since my parents didn't take to Disney very often, I never got to experience a common father-son moment. What I mean is being that 4-5 year old boy sitting in the car with your father by your side while you get to drive for the first time. It's nothing but joy, excitement and a lot of fun. I've done the Speedway and it's always me driving solo but I could only imagine how I would have felt if I got drive those cars at a young age with my father right next to me. Plus I think it's one of the only times where you drive for fun. We often need to drive to get to work, buy groceries, dine or even travel to Disney World. We often can't drive for leisure these days because it wastes gas and money. Even for other amusement parks, they'll have an extra separate charge for the go-karts that is not included with park admission. The Speedway at Disney, on the other hand, allows us to drive without having to worry about gas, money or even getting into a major wreck and dealing with the insurance! Could the cars go faster? Absolutely, it wouldn't hurt to go just a little faster than 5 mph. Does it bring a nasty smell with all the cars? Yes, it does and if they were to go electric or something, I wouldn't mind. Could it be re-themed to Cars, Tron or Wreck It Ralph? Possibilities are endless with re-theming. Does it take up a lot of space? No doubt about it. But there's got to be some things for the males enjoy.
But that's just me. What about the rest of you?
"All my life I wonder how it feels to pass a day, not above them but part of them.
And out there living in the sun, give me one day out there, all I ask is one to hold forever. Out there where they all live unaware, what I'd give, what I'd dare, just to live one day out there."
