Thank you members for being so welcoming. I've visited other forums (which I did not join) that were not so inviting.
It's great to see other grown ups that get as excited about this stuff as I do. I grew up in SoCal, so about grew up at Disneyland. I've been there dozens of times, but it was always fun. When I grew up, I thought there wasn't much of a reason for me to visit WDW. I thought I've been there/done that. I thought the things I hadn't done were just kiddie things I could do without. A good friend of mine (ten years or so older, with two teenage children) told me how he takes his family every year and he and his wife have as much fun as the kids do. I didn't think much of his accounts at first, but the more we talked about it, the more sense it made. I decided to take my girlfriend at the time four years ago or so, and we had a blast. I could not believe how fun it was. I consider myself somewhat of a theme park expert. I've been to some of the best parks and on the best rides in the country. NONE OF THEM have anything on WDW. At Disney parks, fun is the bottom line and boy do they do it right!
Pleases me a great deal to find I'm not the only adult that counts the days to his next Disney vacation. I visit the WDW website often and just reading and posting here I'm almost giddy. Funny thing about that is I'm a rather austere fellow. I am not very excitable. Not much phases me (good, bad, or otherwise), but Disney moves me.
