Tiki Room Refurb

I didn't realize this had not re-opened since the fire a few months ago. When I was checkng out park hours for our fall trip, I saw a note that it is closed for refurb from April 1 - August 15. So I did some searching and found this over at WDWMagic.com:

'The Enchanted Tiki Room -- Under New Management' reopening date has been pushed back once again, this time to August 16 2011. This is the latest in a series of extensions to the refurbishment window following a fire that broke out in January 2011. Speculation is rife that the attraction may return to the much-loved original Tropical Serenade show, although Disney have not yet made any comment.

Very curious whether they're making any new changes or just fixing it.

The story that I heard was that they are restoring it to the "PRE" 'Under new management' era. So I take that to mean that it should be close to the way it was when it first opened. If that is indeed the case, it should please a lot of people because my observations were that 'under new management' was not well received.

Oh, I hope so. I never saw the first version, but I thought the Under New Management version was pretty lame. I just want them to take care of the old attractions, and not let them go so much, you know?

I never went on either. But if it was pushed back... one can only assume that this is the case... but ill throw this out. Weve heard of it either going back or just fixed... what if its new?

I wonder if this is more "wishful" thinking than real fact. I actually kind of like it the way it is..although I must admit I do not remember it the old way.

Did y'all see this? The Enchanted Tiki Room is being retrofitted to be more like the original attraction.

So it looks like it will be more like the original version.
