Tips for Saving Money on Dining at Disney

I've heard that if you order something a la carte from a counter-service meal, you can get it cheaper than if you buy the whole meal (e.g. if you want the burger without the bun, it'll be cheaper). Does anyone know if there's truth to this?

Also, can an adult order a kids' meal?

I've heard the same about the a la carte ordering. I've always felt weird about ordering a kids meal as an adult, though. I guess you could have a kid sitting at a table or something, but I think it's discouraged. Then again, YOU'RE the guest!

Also, another one of our favorite ways to save money on dining is the Tables in Wonderland card. But ya gotta be a fl resident or an AP holder.

Thanks, bali. Yeah -- I imagine that the ordering a kids meal as an adult would be an honor system kind of thing. But sometimes you just don't need all of that food, you know? Especially when you're paying out of pocket.

Has anyone ever shared meals at a table-service restaurant?
