Tomorrow October 17th, 2012 - Sum of all Thrills Anniversary Celebration

I just got this press release from Raytheon and thought I should share. I know we have a lot of people down there right now!

Sum of all Thrills

Ever wanted to build your own thrill ride and then experience it afterward? Sum of all Thrills presented by Raytheon Co. allows guests to do just so, and it's celebrating its third anniversary Wednesday, Oct. 17. The festivities will take place at the attraction, which is housed at INNOVENTIONS at Epcot at the Walt Disney World Resort, and will include the unveiling of the first-ever Sum of all Thrills trading pin. If you're interested in attending the celebration, let me know. Happy to provide some more details and photos if you'd like.

I think so, I didn't know about Cyber Space Mountain until we started mentioning on that other thread just last week.

He's the Disney Parks Blog Press post from when it first debuted

Here's a great photo set of people in different stages of the experience

The simulator is on a big robotic arm and a covered hood comes down over you so that you can see your coaster. The arm lifts you up in the air and twirls you around the way you would on a coaster, your feet dangle off the front of your seat. It will even do inversions. Depending on what options you chose when you design your track it can be pretty intense. They sound like the same concept, only the technology is much newer at Sum of All Thrills.

This ride is awesome. We built several coasters and rode them (DW teaches Math). This technology is also the technology for the Hogwarts ride at UniStu for those that care. I highly recommend the sum of all thrills ride. The cool part aside from the ride is actually building your coaster and having to figure out the velocity, hills etc. I still have my cards from our first few rides. You can check it out online once you get home as well. If you like coasters this is a fun ride with usually less than a 10 minute wait. Once you see it you'll want to ride it.
One day DW and I decided to explore the innoventions centers. We stumbled across this and the recycling plant game with the fun little trucks geared more towards little ones but still interesting.
If you have the time don't skip either side there's good stuff in there and some exhibits change throughout the year.

We wanted to do this one so badly while we were there but didn't get into Innoventions until our last day in WDW and it had a 25 min wait and we were late for our dinner reservation Sad It looked really cool, though!
