Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party during the Very Merry Christmas Party

Not sure which topic to post this question.

I'm going to WDW Dec 10-17. This is our 3rd trip but our 1st during the Xmas season. We're definitely going to do the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party but we're contemplating doing the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party during the event. I can't seem to get the dessert party booked when the Xmas party is not going on and want to do it (sounds fun!), but I can get it when the Xmas party is going on. Do you think the dessert party is worth it, in general? Do you think we should do the dessert party during the Xmas party?

The ADR is for 840pm on Sunday.

I haven't done the Christmas Party, but I have done the Halloween Party, and if the option were available then I think that I would go for it. I'm not a fan of the front of the Castle Crowds that gather and for my family it would totally be worth it just to escape that and still have a great view of the fireworks.

The problem here is the appearance (and feeling) that you're paying twice. You pay to get into the party. Then you pay some more just so you get the dessert. That is why you could not get tickets for the dessert when the party isn't going on, because a lot of people do not want to pay twice.

The dessert is worthwhile on normal evenings, I would say (see my earlier report). Whether it is worthwhile paying for it during one of the parties, that I can't say.

Zz, thanks for the link to your previous post. Showed the DH and he said there's no way we're missing out on THAT! You helped. Thank you!

You're welcome! Just make sure you didn't have a big dinner before the dessert! Smile

Nope, no lunch or dinner ADR's that day. Plan to eat light so that we may overindulge on the desserts. Also, no morning ADR's the next morning. OMG, my mouth watered just thinking about the dessert buffet AGAIN. How do I not think about it for the next 2 months. Ugh!

Ugh..good point!
If you're okay with that I don't think it would be a big deal. I've never done the desert party but I've always heard positive reports...except for once but that was from someone who was always kind of a negative nancy so that doesn't count.

If I told you I'm not a big fan of dessert, would you still recommend the dessert party?

At a buffet, I might skip dessert entirely, or I might get one dessert item. At a table-service restaurant, I frequently skip dessert. The thought of eating an entire meal of nothing but dessert, frankly, seems kinda icky to me. So what kind of stuff do they have? Is it all super-sweet sugary stuff, or what? And btw, I don't eat cheese, so a cheese tray isn't going to impress me. But a nice assortment of fresh fruit would. So would stuff like not-too-sweet scones or quick breads.

There are choices for everyone, I ended up loving the mango shots. mango puree and a straw, the seating is amazing, our table was front row and tinkerbell flew directly above us and waved and said hello

Seriously? Tink was close enough to say hello to you while flying? Okay, that's way cool.
