What are your top three special events at Disney World? Mine are:
1.) Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party
2.) Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party
3.) Epcot Food & Wine Festival
I Fear I'm forgetting something though.

3. My birthday!
My gawd, being at Disney on your birthday rocks. It should be a special event!
If that doesn't count, I'd go for the Flower & Garden Festival.
Never been to WDW during any of the events -- downside of being a teacher!
I read the subject as "Top Three Disney Special Effects" though...probably shouldn't admit that after saying I'm a teacher.
Zipadeedoodah -- yeah, man
1) Epcot's Candlelight Processional
2) Epcot's Food and Wine Fest
3) Epcot's Flower and Garden Fest
Gee, I may have a little bit of an Epcot bias...
Well I have only done one, so
1. Epcot Candlelight processional
Seriously, if you haven't gone you really need to. It is amazing!
Hm. I've never been to any, although I worked a few Pirate and Princess parties so I got to see the parade and fireworks - they were great!
I'm there when they have Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party but I was going to give it a miss, although maybe not now it's Brad, Bella and Jeff's number ones! What happens during it? Is it really good?!
I never got to do a Pirate and Princess Party. They were held at the time of year we tended to avoid.
Peg, you have to do MNSSHP while you're there. The parade alone is probably worth it. The only time I'd say to pass if it you're too close to Halloween, because it will be packed otherwise I say "do it!"
I would have to rate them as follows:
1- Candlelight Processional
2- MNSSHP
3- MVMCP
Pego, If you have a chance to attend the Halloween party, DO SO, it is wonderful, a lot of the guests dress up in various costumes and they put a lot of effort into it. We chose not to wear any costumes and when one of the cast members jokingly asked what we were made up as we told him "We are dressed as old people on a fixed income" and he laughed hysterically. He said it was the best line he had heard all night. Also Pego, as you go in they give you you a "trick or treat" bag and you go to various stations and cast members scoop candy into your bags. In fact you can return to the line as many times as you want and by the time we were done we had 4 full bags of candy. They also have a great parade and a special fireworks display. You have to buy a special admission ticket for it and they limit the amount of tickets sold so it is not crowded. Well worth the price of admission.

I LOVE the Halloween party it is SO much fun! Dave and I did it on our honeymoon and it was great. Basically you have the park to yourself..we rode ride after ride after ride with no lines. We rode Splash five times without getting off! And all the candy...yum yum...I got a lot! Plus Hallowishes and the Boo to You parade are so much fun. I'm a big fan..I'd go with or without kids any day. It's actually probably better without kids because you don't have to worry about them getting tired or cranky. We stayed until the park closed..I think we were the last people out.

I LOVE love love the food and wine festival.. I dont necessarily try all the foods, but it's still so fun.. and great free concerts too!
I've done the Halloween party 3 times and.. well.. the 1st time we did it is the best but I think I'd save the $$ and skip it next time.
I'll be there for the Garden Festival in 45 days so I'll be able to speak to that soon!! yaaay!!
and I've been there for Star Wars weekends once but my travel party must have hated me or something because I really didnt get to enjoy it much but I WOULD have loved it and it looked awesome and I want to go back for it!!

I'd love to do P&P sometime...I haven't seen/heard anything about it this year. Wonder if they're skipping it?
YES YES - do MNSSHP at least once. It is so fun! And free face painting! Don't forget that! I took DD the year before last. She had her face painted as Minnie. I was (sort of) dressed as a pirate - and the girl insisted on painting me up too!
1) Food and Wine
2) Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party
3) Star Wars Weekends
I highly recommend the Halloween party. It is a fantastic night and a lot of fun for people of all ages. Food and Wine is easily my number one just by virtue of being an amateur foodie. Star Wars weekend was great to work and definitely a unique event that I enjoyed even just for the people watching.
Rico, are there any particular activities that are "must-do" at Star Wars Weekends besides people watching? I always like walking through DHS on SWW, but I've never really done anything there.
