I have no clue about posting photos here and am currently not sure I want to have photo bucket, Flickr etc, so I am going to make it wordy but brief until I change my Libran mind!
Travel Day/MK - Wednesday
Stayed at Premier Inn Gatwick. Great Hotel, good location BUT thin walls. 3.30am next doors alarm went off. Didn't wake them, but woke us. Eventually After 15mins they turned alarm off! Took an age to get back to sleep. Breakfast was great but as I was still recovering from Gastro issues unfortunately it made me ill
Plane journeys are boring, but did watch Muppets 2 and slept for most of journey. It was the best flight though, very smooth and fairly empty so 3 seats for us and quiet. Immigration was a nightmare again. Please bring back real people to man the desks. I used the automated system and it refused to let me in, a big black cross through my photo so had to go to a booth, rectified but the booths are now staffed by customs people who are very grumpy!! And yes I was let in. The problem is I travel under my maiden name and we did family originally at the auto booth!
Magical Express, nearly home. Bus was there and Saratoga Springs was the second drop. Didn't take long to get there. Sat at the front so we could see the arch, starting to relax now. Check in, the chap looked like he was sucking a lemon! Not welcoming at all. Problem finding our AP magic bands, eventually he found them for some odd reason in Graham's name oh well. We got the cart round to our room. Grandstand 3rd floor right near the bus stop lovely.
We dumped our bags quick freshen up and to MK to truly feel home and the 7 dwarfs mine train. It was busy my gosh it was busy! But the smell and sight is enough to heal anything. Walking down main street we were home, back to our happy place. First stop Jungle Cruise because we wanted to do it in the twilight. We then continued walking slowly round through Frontier Land, stopping for a quick It's a Small World (the dolls don't seem to sing now until the final room?) and contined through to the Mine Train which someone had said had been down recently. Standby was 140 mins when we got there! And that was 8 at night!! We got on via FP and sat in the back. OK those seats designed for dwarfs! It is a fairly narrow gap to fit your legs under for the lap bar. BUT oh my goodness it is the most smooth wonderful ride and the theming is fantastic. Loved it and would ride it again if it was a shorter standby time! By now we were flagging and I wanted food, so we continued to amble to Cosmic Rays, I didn't want anything heavy and we both ended up with the pulled pork which is fab, the meat is so succulent and yes the fixings bar is awesome. They are doing a frozen cherry slush with lemon/lime foam which is odd but OK. We decided to call it a night and skip our final FP and Wishes but we were both sotired, back to the Hotel a cup of tea and bed. Thursday was EPCOT.
