Sorry it has been so long since the last update. I am a store manager for a department store and well, it's that time of year when I have little time to do anything but work and sleep.
Day 4 After the late night of HHN's we slept in a bit and got to EPCOT around 10:30. We stopped in Canada and picked up 2 cups of Cheddar Cheese Soup and headed to the Land. We got in line for Soarin' as well as getting a FP for 3pm that afternoon. The plan was to wait now and then on our way to the MK later that afternoon catch another flight before hopping on the monorail. Our wait was around an hour but the games help make the time go by faster. After Soarin' we walked over to Test Track and rode single rider. We stopped by the Festival Center (Wonders of Life). I am sad to say that it was really disappointed with this. When we were there in April for F&G Festival, there was much more excitment in there. I don't know if Disney was going was going for a more refined look, but well it fell short. I was not impressed. I am really just embarassed at the state of Wonders of Life but that's a whole other topic. I picked up a F&W print and a t shirt. After we left the Festival center, Jim decided he wanted to eat at ESPN so we walked back to the Boardwalk for lunch. We did however, have to stop in Canada for 2 more cups of soup
After lunch at ESPN (and a brief rain storm) we went back to the room and changed for MNSSHP. I tried, and tried, and tried to get Jim to dress up as the Mad Hatter but it was a no go. I did however get him to wear his Eli Manning jersey and I wore a referee shirt. Maybe next year I can get the full costumes We used of Soarin FP's and hopped on the monorail to the TTC then on to the MK. I text'ed a CM friend of mine who was at work at the MK and made plans to meet him at IASM. After arriving at MK we got our wristbands and headed to IASW. Well, while we were on IASW it started POURING Now, one of the major reasons I got to MNSSHP is because of the Headless Horseman and if it's raining or had been raining right before a parade he's a no go. I was starting to get worried about the crowds as well. There were people everywhere! Anyhow we met up with Josh and he told us that the party had SOLD OUT! WHAT! I know, I know it's still much less that what is normally at the park, but still. He also said that the Headless Horseman was a no go for the first parade and still no decision on the 2nd. We rode HM, Pirates, and Splash with very little to no wait. We also met up with my cousin and her family and watched the parade and the fireworks with them. Josh suggested we stand in front of the partners statue on the Main Street side to watch the fireworks. We usually stand on the bridge by Tomorrowland but I think we have found a new location. The effects of the fireworks are much more complete standing directly in front of the castle. After the fireworks, we walked over to Space but it was down with no ETA. Time for Trick or Treating!!! We hit up several spots in Tomorrowland and also rode Buzz a few times before Space Moutain was back up. After a trip through outer space we walked back over for the Headless Horseman. We rode HM 1 more time and decided to call it a night.
On a side note, I LOVE the family themed costumes. I have seen some really great ones. This year we saw a whole Toy Story family. There must have been 10 people all together. Hopefully in 2009 when we take my nephews we can do this as well.
Tomorrow-Check out day, Toy Story Mania, more MK and lunch at Kona Cafe
Let's remember it all started with a mouse
