TV or no TV?

We've realized in our house that we don't watch all that much TV. Maybe an hour or two at night, but that's about it. And, if we're reading good books, maybe not even that.

Is anyone else finding that they're watching less TV than they used to, or do DVRs and DVDs make it too easy to catch your favorite shows on your schedule?

I unabashedly admit that I love TV - always have, always will. As long as there's stuff I like on - I won't just watch any old thing....

Hi,

I don't watch much TV except for sports and travel shows.

Hope you don't mind if I put in the link to my FaceBook profile page:

I like to have TV on in the background while I'm working or cooking. I'm one of those weird people who concentrate better when I have something to block out Wink

Interesting question -- I guess we don't watch as much TV as we used to. We're not HUGE fans of reality TV, and that seems to be pervasive these days. We do like weird channels like Science, History, and National Geographic, though, and I guess that's "reality TV" Smile

I definitely don't watch as much TV as I used to. There are too many reality shows taking up network time now, and I don't like them. On average, I probably watch an hour of TV a day. Which is probably just as well, because I keep pretty busy with online pursuits. I don't know how I'd squeeze in more TV viewing.

Is playing around online the same as watching TV? If so, I'm in trouble -- I probably play around online for a couple of hours per day. There's work mixed in, so it's hard to tell...
