Typhoon Lagoon Shark Reef

I haven't done Shark Reef in a long time, and DW are wondering if we should head to Typhoon Lagoon or not on our October trip. Has anyone done it recently? Do they let you stay in the water longer? Any new things to see?

We were there not too long ago, SpaceAce, and it was pretty much the same as it's always been. Great stop in the early morning before the lines get long, but probably wouldn't be the sole reason for us going.

Have you gotten to ride crush n gusher?

Haven't been there in a while, SpaceAce (obviously), but I've always liked it. I think it's worth it to head over to Typhoon Lagoon if you haven't been there for a while, too. You might discover something new that you love!

Did it about about a year and a half ago. The same rules applied since the very first time I tried. Don't kick or move your legs too much and swim straight across and climb out. About a minute and a half total unless you can swim very very slow. I believe you can pay for the other snorkel or scuba experience where you can stay in the tank. Not sure on details about that though.

The last time I went, a couple years ago, we were able to really take our time. I've only done it the one time, but we really enjoyed it.

Thanks guys -- I figured the experience hadn't changed much. I really wish they would figure out a "time share" system where you could stay in and snorkel longer. It's a really incredible experience, but over too fast.
