My Save the Date proof came yesterday. I'm super excited! Note the proof has been edited since it has our wedding website with password that contains our soon to be shared last name. Yes she is my daughter .

She is actually named after my grandmother, who we recently found out through ancestry.com was named for her grandmother. My grandmother and I were very close. I miss her.

We are not just having her invite our guests she will be giving me away. It is unknown if my father will travel, and if he does he is not very mobile. If he comes and can walk down the aisle I will have one on each arm. I felt she has the most right to give me away since she is affected the most. My fiance asked her permission during the proposal to marry me. That was really special and important to me. I want her to feel included in this. This is us building and solidifying a family and she is part of that. If we do a head table I'm having her there too.

Well he is not her legal father. He looks like it though LOL. We were both married before. I view engagement as the same as marriage. I view this as our celebration with everyone else that we found each other and have committed to a lifetime of memories made together.

So captain sticky fingers at the USPS switched some digets in the zipcode for my contract to Disney. Needless to say it was sent to BFE, and now its being rerouted. I hope it gets there today, but I'm banking on tomorrow. I about had a coronary.

Despite this Disney is working on setting up our planning sessions in October for us .

I am starting to play address rodeo for my save the dates.

I've picked necklaces and cards for asking my bridesmaids.

I am hoping to put together the first newsletter this weekend with 4 screaming girls in my house.

Yesterday my check, and contract arrived at Disney. I received my wedding planner's name, chef's name, and my planning package. We also signed up for our planning session which will be on October 14, 2013 . Needless to say after my run last night at the track I was looking at photos of cakes while eating my protein bar.

I was happy to see they do book cakes for groomsmen, because that is what we want a stack of books. We're doing hints of Beauty and the Beast at our wedding. I felt like a stack of books as the cake would be a nice idea.

Funny you should ask about the cake, I've been talking to the planners today about that since it has to be gluten free. They want to get that monstrosity and the catering issue knocked out quickly. This way they know what they're handling before we come down in October. Our planning session is settled for October 14.

They're trying to decide if the grand Floridian can do an entirely gluten free cake or if they'll need to look into baby cakes otherwise. I personally love baby cakes but many may recognize that its gluten free, and there are limited options for decorating these cakes too. I've given them the option of contracting the cake from a local patisserie that has won awards and is 100% gluten free. I'm not sure Disney will go for this, but we'd have them ship the cakes overnight frozen and then the cake magicians would assemble and decorate it. I'd pay for the cakes and shipping, and the construction. I'd order them based on their specifications. The advantage to this if they agree to it is that this baker also has more flavors than any other bakery I've seen which is shocking because its all GF. My fiance is not a big cake eater and he LOVES their cakes.

Yes my mother has celiac, my made of honor, one of my friends has it, and we are toggling with putting Mikki gluten free. She's 9 in that photo, and exhibiting possible signs of the disorder in its early stages but her tests are borderline.
