Maybe when I retire Spaceace. I could run "Mr. Hub's Hocus Pocus House of Hagwarts - The only place to get your Wizarding Wands " "(Our wands do not guarantee to give you magical powers!")
The only real Magic is in Disney!

Ha ha! I think that'd be perfect! Ms. Scrappy could run the Scrapperific House of Scrapbooking Wink

You'd be great! What job would you most like, do you think?

Also, Vettelover and MrHub & Scrappy -- have a great time in WDW!

I would work in one of the "pubs" like the Leaky Cauldron or whatever. It would be fun!

I wonder what the "butterbeer" is going to be like at the Wizarding World in Universal Studios... will it be alcoholic or not?

I understand it will be NON alchoholic.

Well that is disappointing! They should have both versions!

I wonder if it will be butter-scotch-y. I always envisioned in the books that butterbeer tasted like butterscotch.

Here are some of the recipes I have seen

1 cup butterscotch schnapps
7 cups cream soda (almost one 2 liter bottle)

OR

1 cup (8 oz) club soda or cream soda
1/2 cup (4 oz) butterscotch syrup (ice cream topping)
1/2 tablespoon butter

or a hot one!

1 package (13 ounce) butterscotch candy disks
2 cups water

2 liters heated milk
Freshly grated nutmeg

Unwrap the candy and place it in a saucepan with the water. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Let the mixture simmer until the candy is dissolved; cool.

Pour about 3/4" of the syrup into a mug, add heated milk and stir. Sprinkle with fresh nutmeg.

Yum! That hot one sounds great! I'm hoping the butter in the second one is melted. It'd be strange to have a glob of butter in there....

The hot recipe does sound good. I wonder what DW would do if I made that for her as a Friday night snack. She loves Harry Potter stuff...

Caitie -- have you tried any of the recipes?

I just saw that J K Rowling had to taste a bunch of different recipes for butterbeer until she choose the one that tasted right for the park. So I guess whatever the recipe is at the park is the definitive recipe for butterbeer!
