Sorry my Canuck friends!! That does stink! Sad sad

Hmm....I had the opportunity to include two other A/P who were part of my "family & friends." Two names popped up, both FL residents, but I knew they were going to a wedding out of state. I wonder what would happen if I added some Canadians to friends and family for future events. This is the first time I have received an email. Did anybody who did not receive an email attempt to go on line and register?

oHIo, Ken & Jan are in my friends and family list and they never show up when I go to the page to pick people for the special events.

This subject is so controversial. I see this thread must be getting a ton of hits on Google and other search engines because it has had 6,788 views in 3 days.

I got the email but we won't be there any of those dates. We leave on the 20th of October so are missing it by a couple of days. I went to try and register just to see if there was still space available (about 1/2 hour after I got the email), and it didn't give me the option to include my mother-in-law, father-in-law, and brother-in-law who will be traveling with us. I really wish they'd add maybe even just a couple of rare character meets to this like they do for the DVC event. I'd maybe justify a long weekend then. Two extra hours at the park doesn't justify it for me, though I'd take advantage if we were down there already.

If they are not Passholders or are not listed in your friends & family as "Share all my plans", I don't think they would appear there.

Yeah I figured that, but I thought Ohio was saying that she was able to register two other people. Maybe I misunderstood and they are passholders?

Allie, yes, the people who popped up when I went to register are part of my friends and family and are also annual pass holders.

I haven't gotten any emails either. I tried to select the event to see what would happen. It wont even take me to the event information.

OHIo, you didn't open any can of worms, they were already out there! Believe me, this has been going on for years now. A lot of people opted out to receive emails from Disney about other events when they first signed up for an account and now they don't know they have to go back in and opt in for other emails under their accounts page. I have heard a lot of people say they are doing this. We get a ton of TIW emails too about special occasions and we are never there during them. I have never received a discount with a PIN number when everyone else used to say they were getting them. The ones I did receive were for people we took with us and never for us! Disney must just figure we come often enough anyway, why send us a discount.

Good point about the email. I'll have to check my account.

Gotcha, that makes a lot more sense.
