Walt Disney World Railroad - Main Street, U.S.A. Occasional Vlog #30

While we waited for out next fastpass it seemed a good time to take a ride on the Walt Disney World Railroad, from Main Street U.S.A. all the way around the park and back again.

Before we caught the train though we stopped to enjoy the Main Street trolley show, which was playing right outside the station. It's these touches, which Disney takes as seriously as the other attractions in the parks, that really differentiates Disney parks from any other theme parks anywhere in the world.

Come with us as we take you on our journey around the Magic Kingdom.

KenJ,

I apologize for the duplicate posting, not entirely sure why this happened.

We record these videos as a record that we as a family can look back on in the future. We post them to YouTube as a 'kick-up-the-arse' to ensure that they don't languish on a memory card, until that gets lost/damaged. We share our videos because in the build up to our holiday we found videos on YouTube an invaluable source of information, opening our eyes to dining at restaurants like Sanaa, at Animal Kingdom Villas and Whispering Canyon, at Wilderness Lodge, we hope somebody might find ours useful.

If the community does feel that us sharing our videos is not what you want to see then I am happy for the content to be removed.

Paul, I don't think anyone minds you sharing your videos! I have quite enjoyed the ones I have watched and I too share videos on here in my trip report. I think it only raises eyebrows because you have only come and posted the videos and not participated in any other way on the boards. It comes across as self promotion which is against the rules of the forum.

Please keep sharing your videos. We just want you to be part of our community in other ways, as well awesome

Thanks, Allie. Exactly my point. It comes across as spam when it's just a copy and paste into threads with no intro or participation otherwise. I may be wrong on this one, but asking for subscriptions to a YouTube channel does look like soliciting.

Anyway, it's not my forum so my opinion is just that.

For the time being, and hopefully, to demonstrate that my purpose for being here is not to prompt the families youtube channel, I will try to participate as much in the conversations, and hold back from posting the videos.

The channel originally was something I had set up by myself and to my wife's great displeasure, with the intention of recording what we as a family get up to, primarily so that we can have something to look back on in five or ten years time, the title of the vlog was at that time very apt. However it wasn't very long before my wife's displeasure change to a passion for being a part of it, and then after a short period of time, she expressed the desire to record her own daily experience, in part as a form of therapy, so you are right, most of the time the content on the channel makes it a daily vlog.

I can understand that there is a minority who post on the youtube platform who aggressively got after views and "subs", the number of comments I have to remove requesting "sub4sub" is crazy, but not everybody there is the same.

I hope that you will tolerate me remaining a member of this forum, and I hope that I can provide another view of Disney World.

I'm glad that you decided to stay and participate more! We can always use new perspectives on the Disney experience. As someone who has a big family it's great to see how other folks manage the chaos.
