Hey Everyone,
It's been a hectic few days and I just wanted to point out some new features you might like about the site:
Attachments - Attachments can now be really big and it will resize them for the board. Thus instead of having to go and put your pictures on an image host, you can just upload them directly here (for the most part, there's still a size limit)
Embedded Videos - Links to YouTube videos should now appear directly in the post. So if you just drop in a link to a video it will just automatically get converted to a embedded video. Fun!
Tags - We've added a tagging system for the posts. When you create a new topic you can tag it with relevant topics. This helps other users find posts they'll be interested in. We're planning on doing a lot with the tagging system and eventually it will be pretty cool. Also the site should suggest relevant tags much of the time. You can just click on them to add them.
News & Columns - We're going to be adding more content regularly than we have been as far as articles and features. Some of the members have volunteered to write columns, if this might interest you be sure to let us know. Also feel free to check out the new articles and news posts.
While we've done a bunch of stuff, there's still lots to do. We know everything isn't functioning 100% so our first order of business is to get everything working. After that we have many new features we're planning on adding as well as promoting a bit. We're looking at December as the "Beta Testing" period, after which we'll probably go out of our way to invite a few more people to join our community. We appreciate any help in the process. Tell us anything you think could be better and anything you can think of that you'd like to see.
