WDW snacks

Just wondering what everyone likes and what I should try... biggrin I'm a big Dole Whip fan, but I'm not sure the Turkey Legs are worth the sodium... laugh

I've never had a turkey leg, either!! I'm always too full from my last meal.

I really like the giant chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches they make home-made at the Bakery--yummo!!

I'm always trying to get back to "hungry" so I can eat at my next ADR, so I rarely eat anything that wasn't in the plan. In fact I'd say I'm kind of ignorant about the "snacks" around WDW. What am I missing?

Try the Napoleon over at the Boulangerie Patisserie. It is fantastic!

I've never had one, but people RAVE about the kaki gori in Japan.

My favorite snacks are the fun things I pick up at the food and wine festival booths (like maple fudge in Canada!).

Speaking of Japan, I'm a fan of Pocky. That stuff should go mainstream over here. Though I've never tried "Men's Pocky" laugh

It's like my mom always says: It's always best when your snack food can also be used as a weapon by an anthropomorphic robot vehicle.

Has anyone tried the "Kringle" from the bakery at Norway? You will never, ever, forgive me for telling you about this thing. It is a large sweet "pretzel" covered with frosting and sliced almonds. IT IS INSANE!

It is best enjoyed with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate while you sit and wait for the start of Illuminations. I've spent so many wonderful evenings doing just that at Epcot.

Zz.

I have heard utterly lovely things about the kringle. Though now that you've said "frosting" (which is, of course, a magic word), I will make a beeline for Nor-vay the next time I'm in the WS.

I forgot to mention that I also really like the fudge at WDW. I got some back on one of my first trips and it's been a favorite ever since. mickey

Ok guys, my snack list is getting HUGE! Y'all are reminding me of everything I look forward to snack on while at the world. Plus I have Food and Wine stuff to sample. Thank goodness we'll be doing lots of walking or who knows how much weight I would gain next week!

I was thinking the same thing about making a list. It's surprising how many suggestions I haven't tried. Of course I'm almost never hungry at WDW so I may have to make a "snack day" next time.

Let's not forget about Zebra Domes, which can only be found at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. (Boma and Mara).

They are little cake like desserts which include both milk and white chocolate. They have a hazelnut/coffee/chocolate flavor. Try 'em, you'll love 'em! awesome

Good morning!

Had dinner last December at Boma with a bunch of Disney buddies from Tagrel. Tried some Zebra Domes. Delicious.

But the chocolate cake they serve with lunch at Flame Tree BBQ in AK isn't bad, either.

I find that the Zebra Domes are love 'em or hate 'em. When I tried them (ages ago), I tasted a bit of alcohol in them, which turned me off... Sad

Yummmmm...zebra domes... muchlove

Two other snacks I enjoy are the jelly bellies (they sell them at MK, Epcot, DTD) and the chocolate/caramel covered apples sold in MGM and DTD (I think they have them at MK too). mickey

I usually pick up at least one bag of Goofy Sour Balls (cherry is my favorite) which can be found not just at Goofy's Candy Company at DtD, but also in many other shops on property.

I love those cherry sours! I saw those at World of Disney in NYC as well. That was a fun little reminder of my vacations.

Are those the ones with the ears dipped in chocolate? We love those things. And they're "low calorie" cause they're mostly air, right? mickey

Absolutely!!!!! That is a definite must do every time I go! First off they're delicious. Second off, they just say Disney so much! In fact, King Charming considers them so essential that when the kids and I go we have to make sure we get one in honor of him.
