We are tall people who love Disney...

...and by tall I mean grown-ups.
I wanted to do the intro thing...the name is Micki (awesome, yes?) and we (my husband and two teenagers) love Disney...World and Land. We love the details in the theming at the resorts, throughout the entire property. Disney does everything with excellence and we have great appreciation for that.

Tomorrow we...including my sister and my parents...leave for a week at Disney World. This will be my parents first visit ever to Disney. They are about to turn 69 and 70 Smile
We are very excited!

I really enjoy this forum and look forward to participating!

We are staying off property.
4 days...one park a day Smile
Downtown Disney...we may hit up a resort or two depending on time.
And we always hit up the Disney Outlets!

My family and my sister are veterans. My parents are quite excited about going for the first time.
And this trip will be a first for me as I am going with a broken ankle and a walking boot...so this is going to be a leisurely park trip.

Awesome! At first I wasn't sure if I should read this thread since I am only 5'4.

Hey Everybody!
Thanks for all the great welcomes!
We had an amazing week...Family + Disney = Epic!
My parents were awesome...they loved the whole Disney experience. I think the fact that it was shared with their kids and grandkids made it even better Wink

I even survived with a walking boot! It ended up being a fairly busy week in Orlando, but really it didn't affect us except at Magic Kingdom. The other guests that day were borderline about to rob us of our joy, lol.
My parents, the first day (Hollywood Studios), asked why everyone was in such a hurry...I loved it! We have always felt that way. There is no way to do it all on one visit. Everytime we go we see and learn new things. That's what makes it so awesome Smile

I uploaded a photo to the Disney Memories page...I would love for you to honor my folks and 'like' it there. They already think it's a thrill that the picture is posted on the Disney page, lol.
