What Are Your Favorite Sensory Things At Walt Disney World

There are some weird things that people love about Walt Disney World. I'm not talking about rides and shows, I'm thinking of more of fleeting sensory experiences. What unexpected things mean the most to you at WDW?

I love...
The smell of a monorail first thing in the morning.
The whistle of the Walt Disney World Railroad.
The way morning mist hangs in the air making everything look ethereal.

Oddly enough the smell of the diesel buses in the morning.

The smell of the lobby at Bay Lake Tower.
The calmness and quiet on the nature trail between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wildnerness.
Boat horns and the train whistle.

Now my love of the damp monorail a/c smell doesn't seem as odd. laugh

I also love the smell of the lobby at Bay Lake and the scent of "Laila" perfume is spot on. I have purchased it at the gift shop in The Contemporary or it can be found at Norway pavilion in EPCOT.

The scent of AKL and the music. I have found a candle that I think is pretty spot on and I love my African Radio on Pandora. When they are both going at the house it is almost like I am there!

All the background music in the parks - even when it is just catching a note or 2

The sound of the MK waking up in the morning. When we used to get a MK view room I would go get coffee and we would sit on the balcony and you could hear the park waking up. The howls from the Haunted Mansion, the Steamboat, the train whistle and you could even hear Main Street. You could hear rope drop too really good sometimes.

The smell of 'Ohana's or the Spirit of Aloha cooking. Sitting on a bench and listening to the Monorail woosh by.
