We can't ever decide whether or not to go to DHS evening EMH, because the lines are always LOOONG, but you never know when you're going to catch a break and find a short line or an empty EMH.

We do sometimes, and when we do, we got with the expectation that we will not hit any rides because of the lines, so it's more of a "let's go and just casually walk around the park and do some more shopping", and it we happen to find a ride that has a short wait, we'll do it.
Is it still the case that EMH in the evening are still really busy for DHS and Epcot in the quieter seasons? I'm going in September for the first time and don't really know what to expect crowdwise, other than apparently it is one of the quietest times of year to go.
Weve been for EMH in early December and walked straight onto RNRC and TOT twice in 15 minutes.
I can only please one person per day. Today isn't your day... tomorrow doesn't look good either.
DHS is the mystery park. I've been in WDW on days where EVERY other park was a madhouse and DHS was practically empty. Most of the time DHS is worse than everyplace else though.

It really just depends. September has become more popular in recent years because of the Free Dining..but overall it's typically a good time to go.
Every time I have done EMH at HS it has been crowded until the last hour or so. If you're lucky enough to get an EMH on a late closing night (like 10 which makes the park open til 1 or so) you might be luckier as most families will have gone home by then.
The best park for night EMH handsdown is MK simply because they have more rides available during EMH therefore there is more places for the masses to go.
It seems to depend on a couple things.
1. Is Fantasmic that night too? If so, it will probably be packed. That said...we were there one a EMH Fantasmic and during the first Fantasmic walked onto RaRC and ToT.
2. How late does it go? The later it is, the less crowded it gets. It may be packed the first hour, but past 10 the families with kids disappear and the lines are all shorter.
We have had a lot of luck with it.
Really good point bringing Fantasmic into it. If Fantasmic is on -- it can definitely be worth it to head to the rides. Do they do fantasmic during EMH?

I may have old information but they don't run Fantasmic during EMH but sometimes they will have a late show on EMH nights..example..they have one at 7:00 and another at 9:00..so the late show butts into the EMH...but that's usually only during busy times.
