What beloved foods do you dislike?

Inspired by Pegosaurus' disdain for pancakes. I thought I'd inquire:

What food that everyone else loves do you not like?

I guess if you covered the pancakes in so much chocolate that they didn't taste like pancakes anymore then maybe they would be okay Smile

Oh man, I LOVE tuna, but unfortunately made myself give it up when I went vegetarian a few years ago. Can I just eat the tuna that you aren't having!? Does it work like that!?

You've hit on the secret to life. If you don't like it, cover it in something you do like until it tastes like the good thing!

I was thinking the same thing. I'd think it would be easier to go with eating fish than other sentient stuff. Maybe just because they don't have very distinguishable personalities? Shrimp even easier (they're just bugs, right?)

Caitie's never going to fully accept the fact that I don't like anything with any sort of mint, peppermint, spearmint etc. flavor. Even the smell makes me gag.

Avoiding going into details and turning this thread into a vegetarianism debate, for some reasons (e.g. going extinct) eating fish is, if anything, even worse than eating animals such as cow/pig/chicken etc. So I will resist my urge, even if tuna does go really well in a sandwich with vinegar and white pepper.

And onions and mustard. Yes...but I like to put the hot dog in the bun and squeeze in all the hotdog juice to the bun and then take it out and add the chili.

Do I still have any friends left?

Hot dogs yuuuummmm....my hometown has a specialty called Garbage Plates.

A half plate of macaroni salad, a half plate of home fries (or baked beans if you like them) top this with two hot dogs, two hamburgers, or two cheeseburgers, whichever is your preference. Top all of this with all the condiments you can imagine, ketchup, mustard, relish, onions, hot sauce (think chili without beans) cheese etc. Served with a side of slightly stale french bread for sopping up the hot sauce. Sounds DISGUSTING but is absolutely the best thing on the planet!! It's a right of passage for all the local (and not so local) college students!! I guess it's an acquired taste Smile)

I don't like mushrooms, mushrooms, or mushrooms. I used to love fried shrimp as a kid, but apparently I overdid because now I don't like shrimp AT ALL. Don't like any gamey meat, but I've found plenty of mild fish I enjoy.

Call me crazy, but that actually sounds kind of good...I mean, all that stuff IS good, so put it together? Yeah, I could see it. Wouldn't eat it often, but once? Heck yeah.

Heck yeah is right!! This all goes on one plate and on top of each other and it is DELICIOUS!! What's funny is that each person has their own favorite "Plate"! Mine is home fries, mac salad, cheeseburgers and just hot sauce. DH loves home fries, baked beans, cheeseburgers, ONIONS, and hot sauce. You can also get a breakfast plate that has home fries, eggs, sausage and hot sauce...no toast...still with the slightly stale french bread laugh

Oh, I would DEFINITELY go with the baked beans -- I accidentally discovered how good baked beans and mac salad are together a few years ago - they make a GREAT combination. Seriously - I know it sounds gross, but it's SO good.

Switch the hotdogs and hamburgers for veggie burgers and, to be honest, that does sound pretty darn good! Don't think anyone could move for about a week after it though!

Hi,

I don't like mushrooms, cottage cheese, cole slaw, or any salad. I don't like candy, either.

Weird kid, weird adult.

I used to HATE kraut, but I've come around on it. Have you tried it recently?

Cottage cheese on the other hand is not inspiring...
