These are some great collections!

We get an ornament (or two!) every trip so I guess we are collecting those. We have started getting some for what my son is interested in that year (this year we got him a Buzz and Woody ornament) and plan on giving them all to him when he's older.

My husband started collecting the small stuffed Mickey's a few years ago and I think we are up to about 30! They are all hanging in my son's room!

I am a cheap skate and collect free things like park maps and show times etc. That is because I know if I start collecting something with a cost I shall be bankcrupt within weeks.

I do have some Jim Shore figures, I have all the Seven Dwarfs and two mickey mouse figures.

I really, really want a small replica of the Mickey & Walt 'Partners' statue which I saw in Disneyland Paris a few years ago. I wish I bought it then, as now I cannot find it anywhere.

I have two vinylmation and plan to buy only two on my visit in September lol.

I also have a limited edition poster of the Cinderella castle and tower of terror.

I do have a few pins but I only buy ones I really, really like lol.

If I could I would have a house full of disney Smile

today while going through all of my stuff and packing, I realized that I collect decorative wine glasses. You know the ones with the paintings and stuff on them? Apparently over the past 2 years I've collected 8...my friends must think I'm an alcoholic since they keep buying them for me!

Rocks! Sometimes polished, sometimes not.

I grew up in Thunder Bay, Ontario (4 hours north of Duluth), and there is an amethyst mine there. I have an amethyst clock, book ends, paper weights, huge hunks of amethyst in the garden, etc. That set me on a path to collect rocks from our travels. Instead of buying t-shirts or tourist stuff, I try and find rocks that are particular to the area we are visiting. It makes for some very strange conversations going through customs sometimes. "That bag weighs a ton! What have you got in there, rocks?" Um, actually, yes. laugh

I have been collecting hat pins for over 20 years. Normally I only buy one at each place I visit, but I had to splurge and buy a few of my favorite characters and attractions since the craze hit WDW. The new pins are much fancier than back in the old days but I have yet to see anything in the gift shops that comes close to rivaling how awesome my EPCOT pennant is.

My parents have collected fridge magnets for over 40 years. The last time I was at WDW, I bought the ticket book magnets for my father for the holidays. They brought back a lot of memories and will be great to share with the grandkids of what the Magic Kingdom was like when it first opened.

rolling rolling rolling

Oh my gosh... you had me *so* excited for a minute that Disney was making hat pins, I was going to buy one of each!!!
And then I realized what you were talking about. I am such a dork.

When I think of a "hat pin" I think of the very long straight pins with decorative bobbles on the end that women used to hold their hat onto their head by weaving it through their hair.

Okay... now I want Disney Hat Pins.

By the way... stars Wandering Cyclist!

We collect Vinylmation. Not gonna lie. We have a lot of them. Mr. Mouseaholic told me I can't purchase any more until I get rid of all my dupe traders. We tried the pin thing but I got annoyed to quickly with the lanyard being heavy and irritating my neck and Mr. Mouseaholic would only buy ones he didn't want to trade so it just didn't work for us. LOL.

I do the rock thing too! I grab rocks from the different places we have been hiking. Sure makes a backpack heavy in a hurry, but they really look nice in my flower beds!

I also collect Christmas ornaments from places we have visited.

I would like to start collecting Vinylmation. They are more expensive then pins and it can add up, but it's much easier to keep up with rather than all of those pins that come out constantly (I feel like). I love pins, and haven't tried Vinylmation, but I really don't go to Disney enough to collect either of them. Maybe I should start a different collection Sad I was onto Football/baseball cards there for a bit, but never REALLY got into it.

I would also like to see a pic of this!

I forgot two. I collect pressed pennies. I have 3 full books from Disney and a few other pennies my family has gotten me from around the world. I was incredibly mad at myself when I forgot my supplies when I went to DL in July. I also collect shot glasses. I don't do shots so it is kind of odd but I have them all in a windowed cabinet above my kitchen sink. They make me smile while I do my dishes! Smile

I took these on my phone so they are a little fuzzy. I have more pics so you can see all three shelves top to bottom but you get the point. I even showed one where they are are crammed together. I call it mortar, it keeps the beanies in place with the larger ones.
Keep in mind the plushes are just the beginning of it. We have pins, window stickers, T-shirts, J's license plates use to say BDOG262, and there was one that said IMSTCH.
We are definitely a stitch family. Too bad he isnt as popular here as he is overseas. J is upset they stopped making stitch tshirts, his are starting to see some wear.

Sorry they are not all displayed cute and pretty. They use to be, but as we bought more and more they started getting more and more squished together. We have thought about putting up more shelves but the other side of the bedroom is the window and closet. excuses excuses I know. People that have slept over or house sat for us say it is creepy with all of them looking at you.

I love pressed pennies. I can't say I collect them, but when I see a cute one, one with Stitch, or someplace I have never been to before, I get a pressed penny. I also get charms (old fashion ones) from every where I visit.

I love your collections, guys! Thanks for uploading all those pictures so we could all see them! That's so neat!

I love Vinylmations...I don't know why...I really don't...but I just think they're so darn cute. I love things with giant heads and wee bodies.

I have lots of pressed pennies from Disney and my parents get me some when ever they travel. I am fixing to use them to make:

1. a bracelet
2. a garland for my Christmas Tree

SO MOAR PENNIES

SO I used to say, oh I'm not really much of a collector, but in the last 5 years since we have REALLY gotten into Disney, the collections are mounting. The largest and most beloved of all is the pin collection. You know that advice that they give you when you start that you should choose one character or theme? Yeah...I didn't really listen to that. SO our collections are Star Wars, Stitch, Chip & Dale, Minnie/Mickey, other Fab 5 friends, Princesses, sets, villains, attractions, countries of EPCOT, Olympics & sports, Alice in Wonderland, special events, Tinker Bell, and believed characters. We're somewhere in the neighborhood of 1500 "keeper" pins at the moment and about 130 traders waiting for their turn to find a new home. At first, I was reluctant to spend money collecting pins, but then I bought some cork boards and now they're "art".

We also collect Disney Christmas ornaments, Disney Jim Shore figures, classic/antique Disney toys, and most recently, the Funko Pop vinyl figures.

Thanks, PJ. Actually being at Disney is basically the only day that I consider better than a day where there's nothing on my calendar and I have a fresh batch of pins in front of me that I get to arrange on the boards! mickey

I do have a pin collection that I am proud of. I also collect cups from Disney. I have a bunch of resort cups. I also buy the cups when they change them. I also like collecting popcorn buckets.
