What should a new park be?

What do you think is most missing from Disney World? If you were pitching a new park concept, what would it be?

I know it's not original, but I think the villain's park idea intrigued me.

I also would like Epcot to be what it actually should be - a world of tomorrow. No need to build a new park when one of the parks is not at all what it should be.

I think the EPCOT as it was intended would be a great idea. Innoventions is a poor substitute for a CITY OF TOMORROW. If they make it functional it should even be able to update itself.

Yeah...and if I can't have that, give me the villain park too! Teacherdrama has good ideas!

There's been talk in the past of an exculsive animal interaction park, similar to Seaworld's Discovery Cove. That could be interesting to see.

I know this may seem silly since it's sort of like what they have but I want a full immersion park!

I want full out sets for each film created which each house an attraction. I want to walk through the garden like Alice with giant talking flowers on either side of me and then get to her attraction.

I want to wind my way through neverland where they lost boys live, to the indians, to captain hooks ship where the attraction will be waiting.

Then I'd climb my way through Andy's toy box to Buzz's attraction then through a full legnths spaceship where I ride Stitch's ride.

I want to feel like I'm going through the films. A full 4d experience, each sort of like a land, then get to an attraction affiliated with that ride.

While I love MK, it's all pavement. I would be fantastic to feel like you were a tiny animation in a character world.

But, this will never happen. So, I would also accept a Villian's section at a park....as long as there are no Marvel affiliated rides.

That would be an interesting idea. Less rides more "world." I wonder if it would be able to swallow up enough people. It seems like the Toon Town houses do a pretty good job.

You are not a fan of Marvel? Or you just don't want them invading classic areas like the MK?

I love marvel! But it's not Disney in my eyes. Doesn't have the same "magic". I guess if they made a park I would visit but I would not like it attatched to MK.

I feel like that's exactly what will end up happening, actually. People are clamoring for a more immersive experience, and I think Disney just has to figure out the right way to make that happen. I think they're trying to do it with the Fantasyland revamp -- the parts where you walk through Cinderella's chateau to get to the attraction, walk through Belle's village to get to the Beast's castle, etc.

I also think this is what the Harry Potter park will largely be like -- walkign through the sets to get to individual attractions.

I concur. I think that is a goal, but one that is largely unattainable. The closer they can get though, the happier I'll be.

Can you IMAGINE what the parks will be like when the next generation starts bringing their kids there?

There will be more and more tie-ins, and implementations of video games...and I'm not complaining. We've all been able to see it already and it's only going ot increase (AKA increase the awesome quotient).

I fear that it would feel too much like a Six Flags or IOA. I wonder how Disney would get around the "preconceived notions."

It could be a great opportunity for them to do it right. I think they would have to overcome a bit of a stigma against non-Disney characters though.

Definetely all about execution on this one, I think Disney could make it great.

I have a fondness for Marvel characters that I don't have for anything besides Disney characters...maybe Calvin and Hobbes. If Disney did it right I think you're right that it could turn out pretty well.

I'm pretty confident Disney could do it right, but I think it would be a huge undertaking and quite a departure for them.

I want to see on this Christmas time, my favorite movie's "James Bond 007" attractions in my favorite Disney's park "Epcot". Car chase moments are my favorite shots in this film that I would like to ride and enjoy.

Best Regards,
