What would you add to World Showcase ?

Epcot has so much to offer and the additions have been great over the years. If you could add a show, shop, ride or experience to Epcot, what would it be?

I would love to see a wine Grotto added to the host country American. Outdoor and covered seating with a Napa style tasting room / barrel room setting. Feature the wines of the Americas. Not just Wine Country of California but also Long Island, Finger Lakes, Connecticut, even Texas has some offerings. The majority of the countries in Epcot have wine as a part of their heritage and showcase them. American could really shine.

Some more countries in general...India would be beautiful. Also, one of the middle eastern countries as a way to highlight their natural beauty and culture that once flourished, not just the negative terrorist related news we hear now.

I'd add a constant motion aerial gondola over the lagoon between the boat stop in Mexico and the US pavilion. The gondolas would all be unique with designs reflecting the various countries. Much faster than waiting for a boat and high capacity due to it being an omni-mover design.

In America a New York style cocktail bar from the 1920's
In England, some brass band music, good for marching to.
A Brazil Pavilion with Carnival - I loved that booth at F&W
An Egypt Pavillion maybe....

I love this.

Of course new pavilions. I'd like to see Russia and India for sure. As high of a percentage of the world's population that lives in these two countries, it's a grievous oversight to have never added them to the World Showcase. I'd also like to see Greece. There's too much Greek influence in western culture to ignore this country. Plus, the food is yummy. I'd like to see either Brazil or Argentina because I think it's appropriate for South America to be represented. I like the idea of Egypt and as a personal Favorite, I'd love to see Spain.

I would also like to see more rides, but I would prefer them to be tied to the culture of the country rather than to a fictional film. The movie thing is a cop out. I vote to leave the movie in Canada. I can't watch the movie in France. I learned the hard way that it makes me sick. I barely ate my dinner at Chefs de France right after we saw it and I felt queasy the entire time. I still haven't seen the movie in China. I keep saying I'm going to and I never do...Maybe this week.

A Butter Tart cart in Canada! It could also sell Nanaimo bars. And since the Canada pavillion has no counter service, a poutine stand would be nice also.

But seriously Disney, bring me my Butter Tarts!

I would love to see Greece, for personal reasons.

I would also love to see more rides based on their countries, I would rather see that happen before adding more countries actually. There are so many ways that the countries already represented could be added to.

Italy, German, Japan, or Morocco could be easily have attractions added on to using empty spaces next to them.
Canada, and UK could have additions added if they removed the Millennium structure.
Mexico, China, Norway, and the American Adventure are close in now though.

I just feel like the World Showcase is seriously lacking major cultures. I mean, Canada, and the US aren't wildly different. Then Germany, France, Italy, England, Norway ..that's a lot of Europe going on. Japan and China. So all we've got to South America is Mexico (CORRECTION: DUH Mexico is NORTH America! So there are NO countries represented in South America. Yikes.) and all we've got from Africa is Morocco? They really could do better to highlight the major cultures of our world.

I'd like to see national pavilions from underrepresented parts of the world. Also loving some of the above suggestions.

Russia, but I'm not sure what positive things you would celebrate - Tetris and spaceships?

It'd be nice to have the Scandinavian countries properly represented now that they've turned Norway into some Frozen version. Brazil, Argentina, Russia, India, Spain, Australia, Sweden/Norway/Finland would all be good additions to the Showcase.

That is a good list, but I would not want to be there for that Miss World Showcase Pageant. I have seen to many people, be them male or female that have strolled into that park after looking into a Magic Mirror and it would not be pretty!

more rides in the different pavilions is a really good idea... even if they are just simple rides like the Grand fiesta tour..... and if they had to add another country Greece would be a great choice imo

Ok here are my ideas, definitely more countries!

I would love Egypt and I feel like they could showcase the culture amazingly!
Definitely Russia, especially considering it is so... difficult to get into now. I can just see the them doing Moscow with the famous building in that area. And also St. Petersburg, with the castle and they could recreate the famous amber room.
I would also love to see, Hawaii, represented a bit. I feel like it gets left out a lot, unless you go to the Poly.
And I also feel like Australia or New Zeeland should be represented. I think that would be a nice round out.

Also, definitely more rides in the countries. I very much enjoy the boat ride in Mexico I think it is very cultural and informative. But also has the classic Disney touch.

I'm sure you all will hate me, but I think a Ratatouille ride in France would be AWESOME! I love that movie and I think it could still be culturally informative.

And there definitely could be other rides added to the other countries as well.

If I'm not mistaken there is a Ratatouille ride at Disneyland Paris, it wouldn't be a bad transplant. Smile

Since Hawaii is a State belonging to the United States, I think it technically falls under the American Pavilion rather than making it its own Country.

But they could still put in a "Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride!"

Right! I really like the American Pavilion and the History too it, but we are more than just the 13 colonies from 1776... lol.

That is what I was thinking! When I first saw they were doing this ride I thought it was Paris in WDW but then I read the article and it was Disneyland Paris and I was sad. I don't feel like this movie gets featured anywhere and its really good was a really good lesson, that you can do anything you set your mind to!

In my fantasy world of imagination, I was thinking of having the Italy pavilion get a ride inspired by the famous gondolas in Venice. You could have a cast member actually rowing the gondola and give you a tour of all the sights of Italy. It would be better than just watching a film, that's for sure. Other than that, I would really like to see Greece, Egypt, India and Australia added as potential pavilions.

In connection to the US being more than just the original colonies I think the same could be said for ALL of the countries represented. Britain is more than tea, fish n chips and Doctor Who, Mexico is more than skulls and sombreros, Japan is more than pagodas and hibachi and Germany is more than Alphorns and dancers. Smile
