Hoorah the weekend! 4 days left until I leave for Disney.

My kids had their DeMolay Chapter Halloween Party last night. My son and his girlfriend were crowned 'King and Queen of Halloween." He wore his Perry the Platypus closet cosplay.

Pulling everything together for the party was stressful because some people backed out and some got sick, so pretty much everything fell on my family. We had 20 people (half of my original expectation) and ended up with two State Officers joining us, so that was great! I think that everyone had a pretty good time. We didn't get home until late and I'm exhausted today.

King and Queen of Halloween

It looks like everyone had a great time!!! biggrin

Yes, I have 2 Congo African Greys, they are brother and sister ( Kali and Kinah) I picked real African names for them. Wink
I've had them 13 years now, got them when they were just chicks. Smile
When we went to Animal Kingdom last year. I was delighted to see Kali River Rapids. laugh

Im getting stoked for this weekend. Even though im dead sick... this Saturday the band im in is playing a gig an hour and a half away. Its our first traveling gig. Playing an hour set. Just cant wait! The one thing... and ill probably get slammed for this... but the one thing I love more than Disney is playing guitar. So this weekend is gonna rock! Literally!

It's pouring rain, I'm playing nursemaid to hubby (pneumonia). We're waiting for tomorrow, when a massive cold front will collide with the edge of Sandy, and, if the forecasts are accurate, give us torrential rain, snow, thunder, and hurricane winds, all at the same time! In Ontario! yuck

Oh no JoAnn - I'm all fowled up on who is where, and when people have trips scheduled...but does this mean you are headed down AGAIN as another nasty storm comes your way? Just like last year? EEK! We'll make the weather extra nice for you!

Quiet here this weekend. Just waiting for Sandy to pass on by. I am very very thankful we didn't take a direct hit. Conditions have been nasty enough with her 250 miles away. Here's hoping those cold Atlantic waters do more damage to her than they're predicting.

We are going to see Romney tonight, then headed to Disney tomorrow. Not sure which park yet but we'll probably skip over to EPCOT for the concert and a F&W snack.
Crazy that you all are the ones preparing for Sandy, usually it's us down here in the line of a hurricane! You all are in our thoughts and prayers, stay safe. Not to rub it in but the weather down here is windy but beautiful! It's cooled down some, the high today is only 80. Perfect day to hang my clothes out on the line, Sandy's wind dries them in 10 minutes!

Working all weekend 3-11, getting ready for Sandy waiting to hit on Monday here. Working overtime Monday doubling up shifts for the storm, which will hopefully fizzle out!

Jeff- what a view! Aren't you glad you moved?

Can you tell me what the weather has been like this fall? There is a chance, maybe, that we will be going to San Francisco next fall. I'd like to end up in L.A., and then, you know, we're sooo close to Disneyland, we really should stop there too......

If I can convince hubby that the weather is fantastic, I think he might go for it. crossfingers

Most definitely! As for the weather, so far it's super-nice. Yesterday and today were low-to mid 70's and clear blue skies. Gorgeous. We went to a regional park today and explored a small forest. And came across a carousel and steam train rides in the middle of the park!

We're on the east Bay side of San Francisco, which tends to be a little warmer and less foggy than San Francisco proper. They use the term "micro-climates" alot around here. It can be so different if you move just 5 minutes away!

I've hear that November - April is the rainy season. So far, it has rained twice in the past 2 weeks.

You could always tell the husband that I said it was fabulous, and then if it is not, say "Wow, last time I listen to a newbie!" Then you can deflect any blame. Ha!

This weekend? I'm writing a trip report. And getting ready for a freaking hurricane. Guess I should be thankful that it's going to hit me here instead of at WDW two days ago.

Hope you're not close to the shore. I have some friends from LBI and things are not going well there sad

Um, no. We were out to dinner and didn't feel anything. Not sure why . . . But no one in the place reacted as if they felt anything, either. It was felt strongly out in Victoria, but . . . Maybe it was the wine with dinner!!! laugh

Heres a better look at it

I love this guitar. Even though it says Epiphone... it sounds like a Gibson and feels like a Gibson. The versatility in this guitar has been amazing! I can go single coil if I want and get a GREAT acoustic tone out of it. Then throw it in the middle... turn both pickups hot... and I can go super hard distortion with it. But I went from a Studio Les Paul to this and the weight... maaaaaaaaan is it different. Korina wood is pretty beefy... but the tone from it is amazing!

Very cool axe. Was your Marshal stack just out of the frame when the picture was taken?

My Hammond B3 with the pre-CBS/Fender Leslies never showed up in pictures either.
