What Is Your Most Favorite WDW Theme Park?

The title should be obvious. For me, no question about it, it's Epcot.

Why? Because it is unlike any other theme park in the world. It is fun and exciting (Soarin', Test Track), it is multicultural (World Showcase), and it dares to do something that is very difficult to do during a vacation, to educate (Innoventions). It also has THE best night-time fireworks show in all of WDW - Illuminations.

Nothing about Epcot and about Illuminations are easy to pull off, and there's nothing ordinary or common in both of them. And the fact that they do is enough for me to rank Epcot #1.

I have to agree that Illuminations is the best fireworks show and I hate to be boring because it's probably the most common answer, but I have to go with MK. When I first started visiting I would say that AK was probably my favorite, but over time all the history and the tons of things to do at MK grow on you. I think Epcot may be the most "impressive" but I enjoy MK the most.

I don't think that's unexpected, especially considering that The Magic Kingdom is the #1 most visited theme park in the world. So I fully expect MK to be on the top of a lot of people's list.

Hee hee! I like the "What is WDW" answer!

I chose that I CAN'T choose! Every park I'm in at the time is usually my favorite park. Smile

I love the whole place but (For me anyway) the heart of WDW is the Magic Kingdom. Every time I go it's check in at the hotel and off to MK for vacation to begin.

Finally, a scientific test to see if anyone will pick DHS as cdub asked in the favorite parks thread.

I chose Animal Kingdom. It differs every day for me, but that park holds a special place in our hearts.

I thought about this for a while before answering it. My final answer is going to be Epcot but with an explanation.

In the past, I would've said Magic Kingdom with no hesitation. But after travelling to Disneyland twice in the past three years, I see know that Disneyland Park is the better of the two "Magic Kingdom's".* And while that shouldn't effect my decision in answering this question, since I'm asked to pick between the four parks at WDW, it does, and WDW's MK has dropped down a notch. Couple that with the fact that to me, Epcot is the most unique theme park in the world, and I'd say that Epcot, for sure, is the best of the four WDW theme parks.

*For the record, the official name for Disneyland's "Magic Kingdom" is Disneyland Park. It's not called Magic Kingdom at all.

With all due respect to Mr. Imagineer, I'm going with MK!

Perhaps after I finally visit Disneyland Park, that will change...

I went with MK, but Imagineer's logic makes sense. Epcot is the most distinctive thing about WDW. There's another "Magic Kingdom" (although apparently it's not called that) in California, there's not another Epcot anywhere. Still I gotta go with the Haunted Mansion!

Epcot, overwhelmingly. It has a little of everything--fun rides, neat things to look at, and a terrific variety of restaurants. And fireworks.

I was creating customized maps at WDW's website the other day, and Epcot had 32 things of interest to me, whereas each of the other parks had around 10-11. That says it all for me.

Wow. I strangely want to go do that, now. eek

I chose DHS. That park used to be bad, but with the new additions, it's looking up.

RnRC + ToT + TSM is a pretty powerful combo. But you'll be hard pressed to ever catch up on all the history and sentimental value of the MK.

I have to go to Epcot. I love MK, but we constantly found ourselves gravitating back to Epcot and the World Showcase every night of our trip!

My first WDW trip was brief, but Epcot just caught me and our trip last month I became obsessed! I love the ambiance, the entertainment, the wine tasting, the feeling! It is just like nothing I've ever experienced at a theme park. As much as I love MK, Epcot is just my favorite!

It's certainly an adults' wonderland!! I can't wait to go back.

You know it's funny, I never even think about what kids would/wouldn't enjoy there. It seems to me in retrospect that Epcot might very well be hell on earth for kids. The only things that are exciting (by their standards) have huge lines. Any of the parents agree with this, or do the kiddos like it too?

It really depends on the kid, their age, their maturity level, etc. Some kids absolutely hate it. Some kids--nerdy ones I was--love it and consider it their favorite park.

Looks like both MK and Epcot have equal number of fans on here as of today, which surprises me. I thought that MK would be the runaway winner in this one when I set up the poll.

I suspect that would be the case in a broader spectrum of Disney fans, but the "Grownups" crowd is probably a bit skewed.

I think it has a lot to do with rides with trolls in them... laugh

Seriously, though, I know the reason why I love epcot (even though I voted for MK in the poll) is that I have a lot of great memories from Epcot when I was a kid. It really was my favorite park as a child -- who can forget walking through that amazing rainbow hallway after Journey Into Imagination or choosing your "future" in Horizons?

I love the atmosphere at DHS and for me it has the best rides, but Epcot is probably the one I'd chose if I could only visit one.

I likewise would have to say Epcot is my favorite, rides like Soarin & Test Track, all the countries being represented around the "lake", Illuminations, Spaceship Earth (though not exactly a "THRILL" ride), all combine for a great park and a great experience.

I feel like DHS probably has the best rides and Epcot is the most interesting, but I feel like the Magic Kingdom does a good job of averaging the two.

Epcot really is two parks in one. And there are so many great places to eat and things to explore. I keep finding new things there that I've never seen or done. Once you stop worrying about riding every ride, you can find all kinds of detail and small "adventures" that will keep you VERY interested.

I JUST realized that there were legions of soldiers in China. awesome

Both are great but The Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom are my favorite and I look them new in our each tour. There rides and parks themes are really incredible. We spent the memorable time at those WDW Theme Parks and always exciting for next trip.

Best Regards,
