What's it like at Vero Beach?

Has anyone been to Disney's Vero Beach Resort? If so tell me about it! What's there to do? What's the area like?

I've never been. I remembered reading a review on it somewhere. Then I remembered, it was on here.

I think I would like to visit here some time. I mean, no, I'm not a huge fan of beaches but it's a Disney Resort, there must be something magical about it. Right? I think I would like to visit when they do the Sea Turtle race.

I don't know, didn't Vettelover book it and then cancel because he said he would rather be in Disney if he was going to be that close?

I sure did, and upon more reflection I think the longest I could take would be possibly a three day start of vacation decompression and unwinding period.

My mother-in-law lives in Vero Beach during the winter so we have been several times but I can't convince my husband to stay at the resort. Granted I know it would seem rude to not stay with them but just once I have to stay at the resort Everyone is different but we like the area. There are some nice restaurants, a little shopping, parks etc. Plus the ocean and we love the ocean.
