Sadly time and money don't let us go much, but we'll go as much as we can because, for lack of a better phrase, there's just something about that place. The atmosphere, the excitement, the smells, the sounds, the sights - there's no where else on earth like it, and it's one place where you can truly forget about all the negatives from "real" life.

Because I can be an adult and a kid at the same time -- they've got Broadway-quality shows, amazing restaurants, good nightlife, surfing, golf, luxury hotels, and roller coasters! What could be a better destination??

My answer would be:

"Yeah, I have no idea! You guys definitely don't want to go to Disney World. And you really don't want to take your kids there. It's too crowded, too expensive, and too stressful. Stick with the Grand Canyon."

That way, I greatly diminish the chances of A.) One MORE family being there when I'm there...and taking up more room in the lines and B.) Running into co-workers at Disney World laugh

Exactly! We need to make WDW sound like the most horrible place in the Universe and make sure everyone takes their family vacation to Cabo or the Grand Canyon or something. More parks for us! yay

Until Disney comes up with another promotion to lure them back. They'll never let us win!

I explain that I have a sickness and that in order to survive I must be at a Disney park, any disney park. Atleast once a month.

If I had unlimited resources I would be at WDW all the time. As it is, we live in Socal, and DLR is about a 20 minute drive from the house. However its not the same as WDW.

100% agreed!

It's the most amazing "all-inclusive" resort ever (if you buy the dining plan, park hopper, and refillable mug)!

Where else can you visit a fairytale land, countries from all over the world, worlds of the future, Hollywood, a kingdom full of animals, and more besides - all in one place!

I really feel like "convenience" is one of the biggest selling points of WDW.

Um, because it's DISNEY (and then I look at them like THEY're the silly ones, sort of like, duh.) And I've used Annie's line more than once - I love to go over and just walk around when I've had a particularly crappy week.

My mother-in-law is really the only person who asks us this question ALL the time. It drives me nuts..I feel like telling her that we pay just as much to go to Disney as she does on crap from the home shopping network so we are even.

Priceless Bella! Yes, those 4 easy payments of $99.99 sure add up over time don't they.

I get the "why disney again? try somewhere new!" from people all the time. Funny enough, this is normally from people who have never been to disneyworld.

Because we love it!

We used to get the same question all the time from people, but lately more and more people from my work have been going to WDW. I think just this year 6 people from my work are now going to WDW and 1 is going on a cruise. 1 person even bought a DVC membership! I dont get the "Your going to Disney again?" question anymore, just "when are you going back?"

Hey why not, Don't forget you get a "Finders fee" from DVC for bringing in prospective new members (that actually buy). Has anyone here ever cashed in on that, I know I have.

This year will be my third year in a row going to Disney. I haven't encountered that. I work with a lot of Disney fans so I mostly get asked when I'm going again. When I tell people I'm on vacation next week, I been asked more than once if I'm going to Disney.

Hahaha love this SO much!

I've been getting asked this a lot since I started my new job, back at my old place they got worried if I wasn't going on a Disney vacation lol! I usualy ask them about their holidays, 9/10 say they go to some beach in Europe every year, so I ask them...'Why do you go sit on that same beach every year?' I like what I like, you like what you like, it's no different (except I think my holiday is WAY cooler than yours!)

We go because it is clean, a great value, safe, we can drive there, it is family safe ( nothing offensive), we know the food is great, the weather is warm, the people are friendly, transportation is reliable, the service is impecable, it is like a trip around the world at epcot, at any time we have lots of different things to do, just staying all day at the resort is a vacation in itself, it's a beautiful place to visit and each time we go we have a heck of a lot of fun!
