For me...
Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom
Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom (not by choice, it just usually works out that way!)
Toy Story Mania in Disney's Hollywood Studios
Spaceship Earth in Epcot

That depends on if we're getting there early in the morning or in the middle of the day. I'll assume early in the morning:
Animal Kingdom - Expedition Everest
Magic Kingdom - Usually BTMRR recently
DHS - We get a fastpass for TSMM and then head over to the RnRC, then ToT.
Epcot - I don't think we have a set one. Probably usually works out to be Spaceship Earth though.
First choice of ride depending on the lines would be...
MK - Space Mountain
AK - Everest
DS - RNRC or ToT
Epcot - Mission: Space
I can only please one person per day. Today isn't your day... tomorrow doesn't look good either.
I like to head to Kilaminjaro Safaris first in Animal Kingdom because animals tend to be more active early in the morning. As for all the other parks, I just grab a fast pass for whichever of the big rides I am most in the mood for hitting first (although usually that means Space or Splash Mountain at MK, ToT or R&RC at DHS and Test Track at Epcot). This trip will be my first visit to Orlando since they opened Toy Story Mania, so I reckon I'll dash straight there and fastpass that one as fast as my stumpy little legs will allow!
AK: Everest
MK: Splash Mountain
HS: RNRoller Coaster (FastPass TSM first)
Epcot: Soarin'
Peg, Safari's are definitely a good pick. We always find everyone else has the same idea though.

Which is why we always avoid Spaceship Earth at Epcot first thing, and come back in the afternoon. Besides, Judi Dench's voice, a/c, and dark in the heat of the day - can't be beat!

No kidding? Mission Space first? I've never thought about that. I think it's a good strategy if you get an FP for soarin, then go ride M:S! I'll have to try it!
For us, usually we hit up Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear, or Pirates first at MK. Then Primeval Whirl in AK, ToT in DHS, and Test Track in Epcot.

Does the wait for the Orange M:S get bad?
Never had to wait more than 20 minutes, but I'm sure it gets longer at busier times of the year.

I wonder why that ride didn't "take off." Do you think people are just "done" with simulators?

Is Primeval Whirl fun? Looks like a blast. I couldn't ride it the last time I was at MK because I was pregnant...besides, DD isn't tall enough. Why the extra height restriction on that? If I remember correctly, it has a taller height requirement then all the "mountains" at MK.

Primeval whirl is at AK -- it's a "mousetrap" kind of ride and I love it. It's pretty universally panned by a lot of people, though, so ride at your own risk! ;-D

Good morning!
This is a hard question for me to answer, especially for MK. If I'm there for the first time on a trip, I'll ride the WDW Railroad once around for a refresher course in Disney magic, then head out (like a baby) to Pirates of the Caribbean.
In Epcot, I'd be tempted to hit Spaceship Earth, but might be better off with Test Track or Mission:Space. In 2004 I once rode M:S on an empty stomach (not recommended) and then went to Beaches and Cream for a cheeseburger with American, provolone, cheddar and Swiss cheeses; fries; a chocolate milkshake to drink; and chocolate ice cream for dessert. That was my first meal in 18 hours.
In AK, I generally head straight for Expedition Everest, which to me is like BTMRR on steroids.
Before I tell you my picks for DHS, a little background. I am a member of the DIS (as Disneyfan63) and of Tagrel.com (as Jimbolini1963). An attendee at the first five Mousefests, I went to both "official" and "unofficial" meets. Official meets were gatherings put together by the Mousefest organizers (which invariably included Deb Wills of AllEars.net, Dave and Jennifer Marx of Passporter.com, and one or more other website owners). Unofficial meets were more fun, comprising mainly people from a particular community (although all Mousefesters were invited).
A tradition for members of Tagrel.com (who are called Taginators) was called Stop, Drop, and Roll. After entering the Studios at rope drop, about 22 of us stopped at the fastpass machine to get fastpasses for RRC, then rode ToT (22 is enough to fill an elevator). When our fastpass times came, we rode the super-stretches through the LA night....
