What's your most common Disney World frustration?

What's something that you think they could do better or a problem that needs solving? I think they could definitely be more receptive to room requests. I've never understood why I can't just have Room #XXXX if no one else wants it.

What Disney World problems do you think need solving?

The obvious answer for me is: lower price might mean we can go more often, though of course that would also necessitate lower air fare as well.

As far as the parks:
More frequent showings of Fantasmic -- the not every night makes planning with ADRs very constricting.
More policing the lines for jumpers (see pet peeves thread)
More buses for Moderate/Value resorts at night (not so bad during the day, but when you have to wait through four or five crammed busloads it gets very frustrating!
Fix some of the attractions that have been allowed to wither away (The Human Body) or just aren't as good as they should be (Journey Into Imagination, Backlot Tour).

Relatively speaking, except for the last one, these are fairly minor complaints. I really wish they WOULD get on fixing some stuff up, especially in Epcot, to make it as good as it really could be.

Apart from reducing the distance and cost of visiting...

I agree totally on the line jumping. Following on from another thread, park to park or park to DTD busses would be useful.

Good point. I wonder why they don't have these already?? They would be such good time savers!

I triple agree with this. It's ridiculous to have to jump on a bus to anywhere (kind of feels like I shouldn't stop believin'...) to get to DTD

I can definitely understand no resort to resort bus, but it's so strange that after all these years they still haven't input those buses!

I heard it is to keep people from parking in DTD and taking the buses to the parks so that non resort guests won't use it for free parking.

A-ha! There had to be some reason rather than them just not having thought of it. Oh well. I guess it'll just be a case of learning the quickest routes to take then.

I think my biggest frustration is the inconsistency of customer service -- especially when you call the reservations line. With social media and message boards, I often know about deals and new events before the people on the other end of the line do. I end up having to politely get off the call and call back over and over again until I find someone who actually knows what button to press to book the event I'm looking for or who knows what I'm talking about if I mention a certain discount code. Luckily, you can do more and more reservation booking online, so that's good.

I knew it! clapping Several bus drivers have told us that while we were complaining to them about non-direct buses.

More rooms with king beds would be nice. I know there are mainly families there, but not all of us have kids.

Agreed on king bed rooms! It's especially tough to get them in places like Wilderness Lodge and AKL. They're rare animals there.

I'd love more king beds. It doesn't frustrate me too much though, because I understand the economics. Still getting a little more catering to my demographic would be nice.

Plus, I don't like having to pay extra for them, that's the really wrong part about the whole thing. There's less of us in the room, why should we pay more? confused
Oh well.

That's a really good point. I can understand why they don't have very many, but why should we pay more for them?

Agreed. And the "updating" thing. I don't know if I just have really bad timing, or if they're constantly updating and refreshing, but it seems like I get this excuse quite a bit. And there's nothing more annoying. Because I'm usually proud of myself for managing to sit down, focus, and make the call in the first place. To have to call again just increases the chances that I'll forget until whatever I'm booking is no longer available.

I haven't booked reservations online, but I'll try it the next go around for ADRs. I'm not even sure I knew they could be done online. Is that new-ish?

I heard once they do this to stop people from parking at DTD and then riding the the parks to avoid paying the parking fee!

( Ahem..apparently I should read the entire post before speaking because we have already established that)..but yeah that's true!
I'm all about saving $$ but seriously..it's only like $10 and it seems like too much of a hassle to do all that.

My biggest gripe is how little the people at Central Reservations (the phone people) seem to know about..well..Disney World.

It seems like if you have a question the best thing to do is to hang up and keep calling back til you find someone who knows the answer.

$14 now, actually. Come to think of it...that's a gripe. I mean, who else is using these parking lots that they have to charge such outrageous fees? The parking fee has always really bothered me.

How would you all feel about an extra $ or so on the entrance and free parking. It would solve the problem and allow those extra buses.

True..it's not like people are going to Sea World and parking at Magic Kingdom..it is pretty much a rip off. I understand there is maintenance and parking attendants and stuff..but really..$14 a CAR..and we all know how many people park their daily. They make probably 100,000 on a very very sloooooooow day letting people park.

When staying off site once we got a taxi to one of the parks, the taxi's are charged a fee for dropping people off, but only have to pay once per day regardless of how manytimes (or parks) they drop at. Our driver tried to borrow a day ticket from someone and had to pay when he couldn't find one. The price was about 1/2 the fare. I was generous with the tip, but I bet it still cost more than he made on the ride.
