When BLT Opens, There Will Be A Bus Stop for DCL Busses

WE will be staying at BLT for 3 nights pre-cruise starting Sept 3rd, 2009. When I made my DCL reservations, the busses did not pick up at the Contemporary for pre-cruise transportation to the port, so I booked to be picked up at the Poly.
UPDATE: Starting in early August, when BLT opens, the Contemporay will now be a stop for DCL busses to the port.
Currently DCL does not pick up at any Values, the Coronado Springs, or the Contemporary. I am happy to see this change.

That's great news! Thanks for the update!

I know they didn't have scheduled stops everywhere, but it seems like I remember they would pick you up by request.

Was that in my imagination?

So if you're staying at say Pop, are you supposed to take all your luggage via bus to a resort where they will pick you up?

I'm not sure they'd pick up at the Values, but I have a feeling if you were staying at the Contemporary and paying those prices, they'd send a bus for you.

That's interesting. So they only offer certain resorts for Land-Sea? I kind of assumed you could stay wherever you wanted.

I was fooling around in at disney.com the other day and did some sample pricing for land/sea combos. When I did some simple searches, I was surprised at the limited number of hotels offered for the land portion. Seems to me like it was primarily the moderates that were offered, and not even all of them.

They will not send a bus for you.
Right now, if you are staying pre-cruise in any value, the coronado springs, or the Contemporary, there is no DCL bus pickup to the port. The closest pick-up to the contemporary is the Polynesian..
When you book land/sea packages, those hotels are not available to book, but if you book separately like we did, you have to figure out how to get to the DCL bus stop for pickup.

I'm wondering how long it will be until I see "BLT" and immediately think "Bay Lake Towers" instead of "Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato"

I wonder what their motive is. Sending a bus to an extra resort can't be that expensive.
