When Is The "New" Best Time To Visit Walt Disney World

While we all have our favorite times of year to visit Walt Disney World, I don't think any of us would argue that Disney has been doing its best to change the crowd traffic and influence when people are visiting the most. Actually, I would argue that they are doing their best to spread the crowd traffic out in a manner that minimizes crowd fluctuations and provides a more consistent guest experience across the board.

That sounds pretty fantastic if you were used to traveling at the busier times of year, but if you were a low crowd level traveler, you've got a whole new calendar to memorize to make the most of your Disney trips. Tom Bricker has put together a fantastic look at what the new crowd levels are these days and what his opinions are of the best and worst times to travel to Walt Disney World. While his opinions may not be the same as yours, it's a great article that is well worth the read.

I really liked reading this post and agree that November is a great time to visit. We always loved going mid February (avoiding race weekend) but the crowds seemed to have figured that out too. I am definitely one of those that enjoys a low crowd time of year so finding that sweet spot is becoming more difficult! I think we will try late January or the first week of December next time.

We always visit either the last week of January or the first week of February. Being there over super bowl weekend has become a tradition for us. Crowds have definitely gotten higher in that time frame then they used to be, but we still enjoy it. September is always a great time for low crowds but it can be so stinking hot. We've actually started liking June or July too. It's crowded and hot, but never as crowded and hot as we expect it to be so I think those lowered expectations helps us enjoy it more laugh

I think this article is really on target. We made a few day trips in November and would rank it as first on our timing list.

Used to be early December was pretty quiet but after this past week, nope! And Animal Kingdom....wow, what a zoo! (Haha - that's a funny one!). we hit all the parks at various times throughout the week and all were really busy.I

Weather is also usually a big factor for us too. We are perfectly fine with summer blockouts. But the temps have been so all over the place and unpredictable. In the week of so before our trip we were expecting mid to low 70s and lows in the upper 40s and 50s. By the time we got there were had several days in the mid 80s and no evenings got below the mid 60s. We didn't wear half the clothes we brought.

My new crowd predictor says go the day before a hurricane is to hit..... biggrin

Granted I didn't go to any of the Parks, but I really enjoyed November as well. The weather was a crap shoot (one day 55, two days later 80) but I had packed for it.
