Where Are The Best Places To Charge-up?

Hey all! I leave tomorrow for WDW and for the first time in more than a decade I will not be bringing my computer with me. This is absolutely a work trip, and I'll be researching all sorts of things that I will need to make notes on and such. I'll be doing most of that on my phone. While there are a number of reasons that I made the choice to leave my laptop at home, I'm more than a little nervous about not having it with me.

So, while I have a spare battery pack for my iPhone, I'm thinking that I will still need to charge at least once a day. Do you know of any great spots in Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios that I can do this? Where do you charge your batteries on the go at Disney?

I noticed two weeks ago that there are battery packs for sale through out Disneyworld. You buy one, then can deposit it back for a charged pack. If at Epcot there is one outside the restrooms of the F&W welcome center.

I don't know but I bet you'd have to elbow a few teens and tweens and adults for a space Haha.I

I read this somewhere else in a comment section from a few months ago but I can't personally attest to.....: near Everest behind just about every wooden light post are 4 outlets attached to the back of the posts. Some may have a cover over them but almost all have power outlets.

I wonder if they've slowly opted out of charging stations in lieu of the FuelRods. Since we always take a break during the day I re-charge in the car and at our room.

Not entirely helpful, I know.... waiting

Oh! I will have to keep an eye out for light post outlets. I would have never thought to check there.

Hollywood Studios in Launch Bay. If you go in past the theatre, you enter into the building where all of the props are. Go into the room on the left on the wall to the left is a couple benches and a couple plugs. JoAnn and I sat there for a while while my phone charged up!

And if I am in a booth, I ALWAYS check the wall under the table, sometimes I get lucky LOL

Ale and Compass has outlets and USB ports in the bench seats at the tables!!! I wish all restaurants would do that! I attached a pic, it's bad I know but it's what they look like, not a good angle LOL

I do know that all of the lamps in the Poly Lobby have usb outlets on them plus electrical outlets. we sit in there a lot in the morning with our first coffee. I would assume most other places you can sit have the same thing. I know I have been noticing more and more USB outlets getting installed.

I found lots of places to charge up in the Grand Floridian Lobby. Also in Walt Disney Presents, back by the theater there were several soft padded benches with outlets next to them. Also I noticed that most of the bars had charging stations on them. Plus I recharged my camera battery in a standard outlet at Nomad Lounge. It wasn't as hard as I expected to find spots to charge up.

So, since I've been on FoP soooo many times now, I wasn't really paying attention to the preshow in the 1st chamber eek

Lo and behold right there next to me on the wall was an outlet.

You gotta be in the right place and you don't have a huge window but you might get a % or 2 LMAO

Oh! I forgot that I went looking for charging stations when I was there.

There are several outlets in the exit corridor of Star Tours, with benches.

Also, the Grand Floridian Lobby has about a gazillion places to sit down and charge up in and around the lobby. As well as on the Commander's Terrace if you want to be outside.

The Courtyard Pool Bar at the GF also had a charging station for guests to use.

The Great Ceremonial House At the Polynesian has plugs everywhere to charge. Get a Halo! you don't have to worry about finding a charge station then.

What's a Halo?

I've heard that the Oasis Pool has outlets under the three pavilions. I'm hoping to snag a good spot there and work poolside for a few hours next month.

Ahhhh OK!

I have taken portable battery packs with me in the past. They have a bad habit of getting lost at our house. sad I could actually use a new one and some of those you linked are on sale today. Maybe I will splurge on a pink one. I think that may get lost less.

I just snagged one. All the others I've looked at seemed too bulky. I like how slim this one is. AND I like having someone I know give a recommendation! Thanks Mr Hub!
