Where to stay?

I'm going to WDW at the end of August. I am currently trying to figure out where to stay but between figuring out what fastpass+ is, how Magic Bands work, and my preferences for dining reservations, I forgot about actually picking a place to stay!

About us:
2 adults, no kids
Not really super concerned about atmosphere - mostly just using it as a place to sleep.
Not a fan of the All-Star resorts - Open to POP or AoA
Not really up for paying for the Deluxe but I am open to renting points however.

Also, us Canadians get 25% off park tickets which means I will be booking my tickets and the hotel separately. The free quick service meal offer doesn't really appeal to me as I save more than that by getting my park tickets separately.

Maybe consider a moderate then. I really love Port Orleans French Quarter. It is quiet and small, so after a long day of walking around the parks, it is not exhausting to get to your room. It has a great theme to it and the pool is wonderful!

Thanks! I was thinking maybe there but I hadn't talked to anyone who had stayed there before.

I agree with NikkiMouse. I have stayed there and I love it. It is very quiet but it is short boat ride to Port Orleans Riverside and to Disney Springs.

Thanks for the suggestions! We found an incredible deal for Pop package with flights and in Canadian funds for less that I was originally going to pay for just the hotel and tickets if we were staying at AoA
